After nearly a year of use, here's my honest review 1. Color It's such a pretty rose shade, though it leans a bit toward brick rose. It's definitely a color that gives off sophisticated vibes! 2. Application You do need to control the amount and layer it carefully, but the application itself is smooth! I always apply a lip balm before using this to prep my lips 3. Scent It's hard to describe, but it's not your typical fragrance. At first, I thought it might be floral, but honestly, I've gotten so used to it over time that it doesn't bother me anymore. For me, it's totally acceptable The staying power is definitely the biggest letdown. I've been experimenting with lip tints since I was younger, starting with Dear Darling Tint and trying various options. Recently, I fell in love with Velvet Tint and decided to get it. The formula applies so smoothly and the color payoff is absolutely fantastic. After applying once and waiting a moment, I just dab it with a tissue a few times and there's barely any transfer. The tint applicator has a convenient shape that makes it easy to swipe on smoothly. I'm already on my second one and I've even given it as a gift to a friend. I might not be applying it perfectly, but I find the amount control a bit tricky. I've ended up applying more than I intended several times, so I always apply it carefully now. I use Merge Blur Fit Tint BT5 as my base shade. This shade has a bit more red in it compared to Rose Veil! If you find bright reds too bold or intimidating, you're going to absolutely love how this one looks on you!
