The scent is subtle and refreshing. Even though it's designed for oily scalp, it doesn't do a great job removing oil during hot summer months. I started using it in early February, but once summer arrived, I noticed it wasn't creating as much lather as before. By lunchtime, my hair felt noticeably greasy, so I've stopped using it recently and switched back to my original shampoo, which I now use twice. To be honest, I was already a bit disappointed with how it performed, so I only used it as a second cleanse anyway. I don't use it every day, just about once every 2-3 days, and I've definitely noticed less itching and flaking. This is my third purchase! When I finish a bottle, it really clears things up. Since I don't use it daily, one bottle lasts me about two months or so (I have long hair). If it starts to flare up again, I'll definitely buy it again! Honestly, it's amazing except for the price and the scent. My hair does get a bit stiff, but I manage that with a hair treatment or conditioner. For an oily, irritated scalp, there's nothing better than this shampoo. Even if you shed a little, that's not really the main concern. After massaging it in, don't rinse it out right away. After using this, my scalp redness completely disappears and it feels so gentle and wonderful This is a persistent issue with this shampoo - the lather doesn't rinse out easily so you end up using way more product than you should, and the price is honestly outrageous It's really important to choose a shampoo that works well with your specific scalp type
