I mix it into my cream and apply it regularly, and it really brightens my skin while calming down any irritation. I've found that applying the vitamin C powder right before using my cream gives the best results. When nothing else seems to be working no matter what I try, mixing this vitamin C powder into my cream makes such a difference. The next morning, my skin looks so refreshed and radiant, with this amazing plump, bouncy feeling. The dispenser opening is a bit inconvenient, so I just unscrew the cap and tap it gently onto my palm instead, which is much easier. After extracting any blemishes, apply it directly to the treated area and you'll barely see any discoloration. I was looking for a vitamin C product, and I read that vitamin C oxidizes easily, so powder formulations are supposed to be more stable. This one seemed like great value for the price, so I decided to give it a try. I mix about a pea-sized amount into my emulsion or cream. Since I've used other vitamin C products before, I use this amount, but if you're new to it, start with just a grain of rice! The powder is so fine that it dissolves quickly, and it doesn't leave any grainy texture on your skin. However, since vitamin C is acidic, it liquefies like water no matter what product you mix it into. So you need to apply it right away after mixing to avoid it running everywhere. When I first used it, there was a slight tingling sensation, but after using it two or three times, my skin adapted quickly. After using it consistently every day for about a week, I definitely noticed my skin tone became brighter. Since it's a powder, it's easy to control the amount, making it perfect to use alongside retinol products. (While retinol and vitamin C are known to be incompatible ingredients, research actually shows that using them together creates a synergistic effect because the irritation is what matters) That said, as I kept using it, I felt like it wasn't quite as effective as ampoule-type products. I'm not sure why. So if you're someone who usually uses high-concentration vitamin products, you might not be completely satisfied. I think this is a great product for beginners looking for good value. Since vitamin C is prone to oxidation, it's important to keep the cap tightly closed after opening and store it in a dry place. Also, if you mix too much at once, it can cause stinging or breakouts, so it's best to start with a small amount and gradually increase it. This cream blends beautifully with my regular serums and ampoules without any greasiness or pilling.
