I loved how lightweight and non-sticky this formula is, and I'm really happy with the ingredients too. It's been such a pleasure using it! If you're looking for a lightweight water-oil that won't leave your hair feeling heavy, I'd definitely recommend this one. I purchased this during a promotional period and ended up with two bottles, so I'm writing this review after using both completely! Just a heads up - I've done a lot of bleaching in the past, so my ends still have some lightened hair, and my whole head is pretty damaged from heat styling. Keep that in mind when reading this! Honestly, this water-oil is pretty straightforward - no major pros or cons. It's not quite nourishing enough to call an essence, but it's not heavy enough to be a true oil either. Because it absorbs so well, don't expect your hair to have that glossy shine. The scent is subtle and neutral - nothing floral about it. It's a decent product to try once, but I'm not sure about repurchasing. I'd probably buy it again if there's a significant discount, haha! It doesn't provide enough nourishment to be called an essence, and it doesn't give your hair that shiny, lustrous finish. I used to have a tube-style essence, but I hated how inconvenient it was to constantly open and close the cap, and the thin formula would just pour out uncontrollably. Switching to the pump dispenser was the best decision! The pump lets me control exactly how much I use, and it's not overly oily at all. Since I have long hair, I need to apply hair essence to my ends even in the middle of summer, and this product is perfect for that. I honestly can't find anything to complain about. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering at all. The essence is on the left and the water oil essence is on the right. The water oil essence formula is definitely a bit more oily, but it's still light enough to use even during the hottest summer days. My tip is to adjust the amount based on your hair condition and the weather—don't press the pump too hard at first. I really recommend this product! I used to have so much frizz, but after using this, my hair improved dramatically. I don't even need conditioner anymore! Just so you know, I have really long, thick hair with lots of volume. And it doesn't feel sticky at all! Hmm, nothing really stands out. That said, I got it at a great price so I'm satisfied. True to its name as a water oil essence, this product absorbs incredibly smoothly into your hair. The flowing formula makes it easy to control how much you use, and it never feels heavy or sticky. That said, if you apply too much at once, it can feel a bit thick, so I'd recommend using the right amount for your hair type. When I first received it, there were white, round droplets on the surface, which I learned were protein. I was really impressed to see that this product is packed with nourishing ingredients that help maintain healthy hair. I've been a loyal fan of Hair Plus products, and I absolutely love the Aqua Protein line, from the water treatment to the water essence. The Aqua Protein line has such a sweet fragrance that matches my taste perfectly, so I use it regularly. After switching to Hair Plus, I stopped using hair oils for a while, but I wanted to try one again recently, so I chose this essence. Honestly, it was purely because of the scent! However, while I do enjoy that sweet fragrance I love, compared to other products in the same line, the scent fades really quickly after application. That's the one thing I wish was different. Like most hair care products, the best results come from applying the treatment to wet hair, blow-drying it, and then applying it once more to dry hair. Your hair will feel incredibly soft afterward, and brushing becomes so smooth and easy. For even better results, I'd recommend using a protein bond ampoule on wet hair as well.

I've always just used hair oil, but this is so thin and airy that I was honestly surprised. It's amazing how it actually calms and smooths my hair too! The fragrance isn't quite right for me. Honestly, there aren't many downsides, but if I had to pick something, the scent just isn't my preference. It feels a bit artificial, and I wish the fragrance was more subtle. It's not greasy at all and has plenty of moisture, so I don't get any static either!!! I really can't think of any downsides. For an oil, the formula feels surprisingly lightweight and doesn't weigh your hair down. It applies smoothly and effortlessly without that heavy feeling. It works wonderfully on dry, frizzy hair, and your strands glide through easily when you brush after application. The thin consistency means it can drip, so you need to be careful when applying it. The scent feels a bit off compared to the "Aqua" name on the bottle—it's not quite what you'd expect. The effects are pretty subtle; it makes your hair slightly less stiff and a touch less tangled, but nothing dramatic. After the formula absorbs into your hair, there's a slight oily residue left on your hands. It's not sticky, but it seems like the hair isn't absorbing as much product as it could. I mix it with the Hair Plus Protein Ampoule. It feels so much better when combined compared to using it alone, and the product spreads beautifully through your hair without any leftover residue on your hands. Since the protein ampoule has its own fragrance, the essence scent gets a bit masked. I'd recommend applying it to damp hair rather than completely dry hair. When I've used it after blow-drying, my hair feels stiff because the moisture isn't there to help the formula work its magic.
