I picked up this shampoo because it promised to tone down my hair color, and I wanted to keep my dye job looking fresh longer. The results are pretty subtle, though. It has a chocolate scent, but as a shampoo, the cleansing power feels weak, which is disappointing. I really enjoyed washing my hair with this shampoo because of its sweet chocolate scent. The lather is rich and creamy, and I didn't experience any issues during shampooing. I'm not entirely sure if it truly delivers on the tone-down promise, but I did notice my hair tone seemed a bit more subdued after using it. The tone-down effect doesn't seem as strong as the product name suggests. I think using it together with a conditioner might give better results. Since the shampoo has such a deep brown color, I've noticed it can sometimes stain the bathroom floor if it spills. I think this shampoo would work even better when paired with a matching conditioner.

I really enjoyed using Hair Plus Black Bond Tone Down Shampoo. What I loved most was that even with just a small pump, the lather was rich and luxurious, making my wash routine so easy and pleasant! The downside is that the scent is quite divisive - some people will love it, others not so much. Plus, the price point is pretty steep, so I'm not sure I'd repurchase. After bleaching, I kept wondering if I'd need to keep coloring my hair every time it grew out... It was honestly such a hassle, but this is a total game-changer! My hair kept getting damaged from all the constant coloring, which was so frustrating... but I absolutely love this! It's so convenient. I'll need to use it more to really judge how long it lasts, but so far I'm impressed! I have to admit... for someone like me who gets impatient easily, even waiting just 2 to 5 minutes feels a bit tough. I wish the processing time was shorter!
