I've used it 2-3 times to lighten my hair and neutralize those unwanted yellow tones, and it works great! I don't really have any complaints - it's a solid, no-fuss color-correcting shampoo that does what it's supposed to do Work up a rich, creamy lather and apply it generously throughout your hair. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. The scent is lovely! It does a great job controlling scalp oil, and it works well even for oily scalp types. I'm not sure about the effectiveness, and since it doesn't lather much, I end up using a lot of shampoo.

I'm not sure if the color-correcting effect really works as advertised. If you look at the product photo, there's promotional material showing what looks like a yellow-to-gray color shift on top of the bottle. To achieve that kind of result, you'd basically need to apply the shampoo without lathering it up first, almost like you're spreading it on directly. The color correction doesn't seem to work that well. That said, the price is so reasonable that I didn't have super high expectations anyway. If you use this without creating a lather, you'll end up with streaky, uneven color on your hair. I've been using this for about a month after coloring my hair, and I've noticed the color fades a bit less than expected. Compared to other products, the cleansing power isn't as impressive as I'd hoped. This product is perfect for daily use and has minimal staining, so you can apply it without gloves. It deposits a beautiful ash tone on lightened areas without requiring a toning step first. I did a toning step before lightening, and the lightened sections came out with a brassy, khaki-toned result, which I didn't like, so I had to lighten again. After the second lightening session, my hair had a lot of red undertones, and this product couldn't neutralize any of that redness at all. I'd recommend trying this product based on your specific lightening history (whether you've done toning before) and your current hair color. I tried it on bleached hair and I have to say, even as the color fades from dyeing, the yellow tones are noticeably less intense! My hair texture wasn't great to begin with, and this product doesn't really help with that. The blue tones definitely stay vibrant and don't fade as quickly, and the scent is pretty universally appealing without being polarizing. The lather is really nice... The scent is pretty good too... But honestly, that's where the positives end. I have so much to say about this! I bleached my hair and dyed it ash purple and gray. A few weeks later, all the purple faded and left a beautiful gray tone. But here's the problem... I kept using this color-correcting shampoo, and my hair turned completely khaki. I couldn't believe how khaki it became. So I had to strip the color completely to get rid of all that khaki tone. On top of that, my hair got greasy way too quickly! These photos are completely unedited and totally real, showing before and after.
