I received a sample with a mini size, and even though it lasts longer than expected, brushing it on does leave some oils on the brush bristles. Keeping the brush clean requires frequent washing, which can be a bit tedious. Still, there's something magical about how smooth and polished your skin looks after one swipe. I actually use it instead of powder during summer to keep my skin feeling fresh and breathable rather than heavy. This brush-applied primer requires frequent brush cleaning during use. Despite being a mini size, the brush quality is surprisingly good and delivers consistent, even coverage that I'm really happy with. I've tried applying it before makeup too, but this formula can sometimes cause slight clumping. I was searching for a primer that would help cover enlarged pores and discovered this product, so I decided to purchase it. I'm not someone who spends hours perfecting my makeup, but I do want a product that delivers real coverage and lets my skin look its best. Here's what I love: The texture is incredibly fine and smooth. On days when I skip full makeup and just apply it over sunscreen, it creates a polished, blurred finish that looks naturally refined. It controls shine and keeps my skin looking matte throughout the day. The magnetic case is perfect for someone like me who tends to be disorganized. Best of all, I don't need to carry a separate brush or puff, so I can easily touch up my shine control on the go whenever I need it. Here's where it falls short: It doesn't dramatically minimize the appearance of pores as much as I'd hoped. When using it as a primer, you really have to stop as soon as you think you've applied enough, because using too much can cause the base to lift and leave your face feeling tight and uncomfortable. The same goes for touch-ups, so you have to be careful not to overdo it or the product can settle into your pores. That said, I still really like this product overall. I think some of my disappointment comes from my own application technique, to be honest. If you're skilled at controlling product amounts and have good makeup application skills, I think you'd get excellent results with this one.

Before I started using this, I honestly wondered how I ever managed without it—it's become such a beloved staple for me. I have combination skin, so whenever I apply sunscreen, my T-zone pores always become really noticeable and it stressed me out. But when I apply this airy powder primer with a few swipes, it covers my pores beautifully and gives that powder effect too, so I absolutely love it! The staying power is fantastic as well. The only thing is that in summer, oil tends to come through, so if I set it once more with a pressed powder, the longevity is absolutely unbeatable. Honestly, if I had to nitpick, the price is a bit steep for me. This product covers pores beautifully and the powder finish is fantastic! I love that I can apply it even after I've done my makeup. My skin type is combination - oily on my cheeks and T-zone, but dry everywhere else. My skin doesn't work well with tea tree, centella, green tea, chamomile, rose, or most oil-based ingredients. I have incredibly fair skin that looks dark even in shade 13. My skin is thin and prone to breakouts. I have eczema, so if I skip my body moisturizer for even one day, my skin gets itchy. The best-matched products I've ever used are: Primera Miracle Seed Essence, Biplane Clean Ocean Sunscreen, Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Essnature Squalane Hydrating Cream, NARS Creamy Concealer, Hera HD Powder, Rom&nd Blush, and Dr. G.R Toner. Most people probably use this as a primer like the name suggests, but I use it to control shine and as my final makeup step instead of a traditional powder! Other shine-control powders either clog my pores or have ingredients that irritate my skin, and regular powders always look too dark on me. So I thought, why not try this? It didn't cause any breakouts and worked amazingly, so I've been using it for years now. I absolutely love it! If they never discontinue it, I'll use it for life. Since the shape is different from a traditional powder, the brush attached to the side gets dirty easily during application, and it feels unhygienic. I end up using a different brush instead. It would be great if they released a version without a brush or in a traditional powder compact. This product is genuinely a game-changer.

And when I layer foundation or cushion on top, it adheres beautifully without any patchiness. My makeup doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable, and there's zero flaking or dry patches emphasizing texture. Even though I have combination skin, I haven't experienced any dryness while using this. I think it'll work great even during winter. Hera really delivers. I trust this brand completely! Honestly, I don't have any complaints about the product itself. If I had to pick something, it would just be the price when shopping at department stores. But that's pretty standard.

That's when I started looking for primers that could cover pores and control shine, and this one really delivers on oil control. My makeup used to get shiny by lunchtime, but now it stays fresh and matte well into the afternoon - even without reapplication. The compact, flat case design is also super convenient for travel. After using it for a while, the surface starts to feel a bit hardened, which makes it increasingly inconvenient to apply with a brush. I'd also love to see the price come down a bit.
