I keep coming back to Hera for good reason. It has a natural, radiant shade that neutralizes yellow undertones perfectly for cool-toned skin, offers buildable coverage without looking heavy, keeps my complexion looking fresh with minimal pore visibility (it holds up even on days I skip primer), and most importantly, it lasts way longer than other dewy cushions. While other hydrating cushions fade after an hour and a half, Hera keeps me looking polished for three and a half hours. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and a dry U-zone that's prone to flaking, plus I deal with dark spots and a sallow complexion. I mainly reach for Hera's semi-matte black cushion during peak summer or rainy days. When fall and winter roll around with their dry weather, I have to switch to something else. That said, I still love it because it's reliable and wears beautifully throughout the day. During dry autumn and winter weather with cool breezes, the product tends to sit on my cheeks and becomes difficult to apply smoothly. If I'm caught without another powder option on a dry day, I use this emergency trick: I generously mist my face as if I just washed it, then spray the Hera puff with mist as well before gently pressing it onto my skin. This helps tame the dryness quite a bit. I used to jump from one cushion compact to another, but this is the one I've finally settled on. I really dislike that greasy shine, and this one is absolutely perfect for me. I've been using this cushion for 8 years! The coverage is fantastic and it doesn't break down throughout the day - my makeup stays flawless from morning to evening. The formula adheres beautifully to my skin and I absolutely love it. Since I have dry skin, I noticed the product can feel patchy if I don't prep my skin thoroughly with a good base beforehand. The coverage and adherence are excellent. For combination to oily skin types, this level of matte finish is exactly what you need. I actually find it works better when I spritz the puff with a light mist once or twice, and I love how it holds up throughout the day without breaking down. The darkening effect is minimal, which is perfect. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't have oily or combination skin. This cushion formula is quite dry, and if your skin doesn't have enough natural oils to balance it out, the product will really emphasize texture and look patchy.
