Shade 13 - Cool Fair, Sensitive Combination Skin Type I grabbed this from Ably because they threw in a pouch and a mini lip serum, so I decided to shop there! Definitely compare prices across different retailers and buy from whoever's offering the best deal. My skin tone is bright, and since I'm cool-toned, I usually stick to muted, low-saturation lip colors. Florentine isn't super saturated either, but it's got more color payoff than I expected. The shade is incredibly similar to Rom&N's Peony Ballet, which I've been loving! How Florentine compares to Peony Ballet: Peony Ballet feels thinner and more watery, while Florentine has this gorgeous glossy finish with more volume and dimension (honestly, you really get what you pay for here). No feathering or shrinking on the lips. I originally got Lingerie as a gift and absolutely adored how smoothly it applied, but the shade just wasn't right for my undertone. Even though there are cheaper dupes out there, I went ahead and bought Florentine anyway... and I have zero regrets. When comparing Florentine and Lingerie side by side, Florentine is definitely cool-toned while Lingerie leans warm. Lingerie has that deep undertone vibe - think 85% coral, 15% pink (check out the photos for reference!). It's not the cheapest option out there, but I genuinely feel like it's worth every penny. Once you use a Hera lip product, you really notice the difference between department store lips and this. The shine and application are noticeably superior. I bought this thinking it would be sheer enough to layer, but it's actually more pigmented than expected, so I can wear it on its own too.
