I grabbed this at a great price and applied it generously all over. My skin feels so soft and hydrated. When my skin wasn't in great condition or felt really dry, it didn't help much even after applying it. I haven't used it for long, but my first impression is great! That said, since it's a treatment product meant for once or twice weekly use, I'm a bit concerned about whether it might be too strong for my skin. My main concern is the same one I mentioned before - since it's a specialized treatment product, I'm questioning whether the formula itself is truly gentle. The formula has this amazing gel-like texture that's so satisfying to use. When you scoop out a generous amount and apply it, the indent fills back in and smooths out like you never touched it at all. At first, I was excited about how unique the formula felt, so I kept using it. But then I started noticing it felt irritating, and my lips began reacting like they were having an allergic response and got puffy. When I apply it, it feels sticky even though it's supposed to be a treatment mask, and my skin feels dry instead. Plus, my face gets hot and uncomfortable. At first, it feels a bit stingy, but as time goes on, the irritation fades and my skin feels pleasantly taut. I usually have makeup application issues during winter because my skin gets so dry, but after doing a 20-minute sheet mask before applying makeup, everything went on beautifully and stayed put all day. I was worried the collagen cream might have an odd smell, but it actually has a subtle lemon scent that's quite pleasant. The formula feels gentle on my skin without any irritation. Maybe I had too high expectations, but honestly it feels pretty unremarkable. The application is smooth, the amount is generous, and the scent is lovely. However, I'm not sure it's as hydrating as claimed. Even though it's supposed to be a sleeping mask, it feels sticky, which bothers me throughout the night. Plus, it seems like dust would stick to it easily, so I've stopped using it regularly. I apply it before bed and wake up the next morning to find my skin feels incredibly firm and plump - it's such a noticeable difference! The hydration doesn't seem to be that strong. First off, I'd say the texture is super bouncy and jiggly, kind of like pudding! It honestly feels like someone took pork skin, ground it up, and turned it into a pudding - hilarious, I know! But the lemon scent is really nice and doesn't feel off-putting at all. I actually bought this as a hydrating overnight mask because my face stays dry even when I layer on cream, and wow, it really does keep my skin feeling dewy and moisturized! The application is so smooth and easy to spread. After about ten to twenty minutes, it absorbs into the skin without leaving it feeling tight or parched. When I wash my face the next morning after using this, my complexion looks noticeably brighter and more radiant compared to nights when I skip it. I do have some acne-prone areas, but I didn't notice this making things better or worse, so that's neutral. My skin is pretty sensitive though, and I do feel a slight stinging sensation when I apply it. The bigger issue for me is that once it absorbs into my skin, it doesn't feel hydrating - instead it leaves this sticky, tacky residue that's kind of disappointing.
