I love a matte, natural makeup look. I have combination to dry skin with occasional breakouts, I'm in my teens, and I wear shades 21-22 in a muted tone. The color is so natural and beautiful. It's a bit more red-toned than it looks in photos. The plumping effect is subtle but I absolutely adore it. This lip product is super glossy with minimal color payoff. Clear rose shade that complements most skin tones beautifully. Delivers genuine lip plumping results that you can actually feel. Keeps lips moisturized without emphasizing dry patches or flakiness. The packaging feels incredibly luxurious and premium. Lightweight and portable, making it perfect for carrying with you everywhere. There aren't really any downsides, though the price point might be steep for some budgets. If you layer it for a deeper color payoff, the shade becomes quite intense, which personally isn't my preference.

My friend raved about their glossy balm, so I was super curious and finally got to test it out. I have naturally dry lips and always go for glossy, hydrating formulas, but I hate when texture shows through no matter how moisturizing the product is. This Hourglass product though? It's incredibly hydrating, applies sheer and thin, and actually smooths over any dry patches. The color comes out more subtle than it looks in the tube since it's a glossy formula, so layering is totally effortless! It's a twist-up formula, but since it doesn't have a cap, you have to carefully twist out just what you need. I have a light undertone, and since the color doesn't apply too intensely, it's a shade I can wear without overthinking it. Perfect for adding a natural flush and bringing my lips to life on everyday looks. It feels like applying a hydrating tinted lip balm, honestly. I really love that there's zero tackiness, and it doesn't separate or pill throughout the day, so I don't have to worry about how my lips look when I'm out and about. Definitely want to try other shades next! Red Zero has a muted red tone that's less vibrant than classic reds like Dior 999. It leans more toward a natural blood-red shade with softer saturation. I think it would look stunning on cool and deep skin tones, but since the formula applies sheer and transparent to the lips, the color won't shift dramatically depending on your base. When I used it over a warm nude lip base with just a thin glossy finish, it gave a beautifully subdued, grounding effect. When applied intensely or worn alone, it did show a slightly cooler undertone. The formula delivers an impressively glossy finish within the Glossy Balm range, and because it has a softer texture, I found it worked best when applied in thin layers with a light hand. The downside is that the product size is quite small, and as expected, the wear time is limited. Even with just one swipe, the color payoff is incredible and it applies so smoothly. The plumping effect gives your lips that gorgeous, fuller appearance. The formula has some tint to it, and the glossy finish reminds me of those trendy candy-coated treats—it's just so pretty! It doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all. Instead, you get this beautiful shine that makes your lips look plump and gorgeous, which I absolutely love. Since it's a hydrating formula, your lips stay moisturized and comfortable, and the wear time is surprisingly long. Even when you apply a generous amount, it feels lightweight and dewy rather than heavy. On really windy days, your hair might stick to your lips, so you'll probably want to avoid wearing it on those days.
