There's a slight white cast, which is more noticeable than other sunscreen products. I think this is because it provides a subtle brightening effect. The fragrance is minimal, and it doesn't pill or separate when layered with other skincare products. Since this is a tinted sunscreen, you'll want to blend it out carefully for an even application. While it doesn't pill, this tinted sunscreen does appear slightly white at first but disappears as you blend it in. The main drawback is that it washes off easily with sweat or water. Even though my skin is dry, applying this didn't leave that uncomfortable, tight feeling. Plus, since I have combination skin, I barely noticed any white cast. Gives a natural one-shade brightening effect. If you just want a tone-up without coverage, you can skip the base and use this alone. Doesn't spread as smoothly as I'd like. The application itself is fine, but it sets quickly. If I apply it like a full base makeup—one side at a time—it works okay, but I'm not sure why I need to put this much effort into applying a sunscreen. The tone-up is great, but the difference between where it's applied well and where it isn't is really noticeable, almost like streaking. It glides on so smoothly, just like applying an emulsion, and absorbs beautifully into the skin without any sticky residue. The stinging sensation is really intense when I apply it. No white cast with this sunscreen. All ingredients meet safety standards for a gentle formula. I've tried many sunscreens over the years, and Hygge's line is consistently gentle and effective. The application is smooth and blends beautifully. Since there's no white cast, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who dislikes that chalky, patchy finish. The scent is unscented, which I appreciate. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product. I honestly can't find anything to complain about. Hygge sunscreen is absolutely fantastic. Great everyday sunscreen As time goes on, it gives such a beautiful glow that your skin looks amazing Even when I apply it alone, the luminous finish makes my complexion look so pretty Even though I have sensitive skin, it doesn't turn red or sting when I use it, so I think it's totally fine! I was considering repurchasing, but lately there are so many great sunscreens like this one coming out that I want to try other options too Too oily for oily skin types... I'd recommend it as a winter product Does the sunscreen really drip down if you don't wear it in winter? That's honestly the best way to describe it - it melts and drips, getting into your eyes... so the staying power isn't great in summer (based on oily skin experience) It stings the eyes! Eye irritation is real I'm the type who tears up just cutting an onion, and when I applied it close to my eye area? My eyes felt terrible all day - stinging and watering constantly If you have sensitive eyes, just skip applying it near the eye area
