The emulsion texture applies with excellent adherence and blends seamlessly. For someone in their early forties, I'm completely satisfied with how it performs. I primarily use BB cream rather than foundation, so I can't say for certain whether this product interferes too much with makeup application. That said, looking at how thinly the product applies, I can see that anyone using a thin foundation would definitely notice some impact. This eye essence delivers a smooth, hydrating feel that's absolutely lovely. However, it can feel stinging and irritating. Every time I applied it, I experienced that sharp, uncomfortable sensation. No white cast and incredibly hydrating. I can apply it before makeup without any pilling or shifting. It absorbs beautifully the moment it touches my skin. This product is incredibly hydrating. It feels so smooth and smells wonderful. There's no white cast at all, which makes sense since it's a mineral sunscreen, but I'm also impressed that it doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the skin. The only thing is the amount you get isn't quite enough. Other than that, it's really fantastic. Honestly, I can't think of any other downsides. I've been mixing this with my organic sunscreen, and it works beautifully. When I combine it with a drier sunscreen formula, it makes everything feel so much smoother. It also helps tone down the white cast from other sunscreens, which is perfect. I'm sure you could do this with other sunscreens too, but since this one is so hydrating and flows easily, mixing it this way gives me just the right amount of moisture and coverage.
