Honestly, I can skip the emulsion and just use this control product alone and it works great. It doesn't control oil as much as I expected. The shine has reduced a bit, but it doesn't completely eliminate the greasy feeling. If your T-zone isn't too oily, this is perfect because it prevents excess oil from building up. The application is smooth and the absorption is fantastic! What I really love is that it definitely delays that greasy feeling. It's not like the product prevents oiliness completely, but it does reduce shine by about half compared to what I'd normally experience. I do feel like it slightly clogs my pores. When I apply it, it gives me that primer-like sensation. I have oily skin, and this product really does help reduce the shine and excess oil that builds up on my face I'm not sure why I'd need to add another layer to my face just to control oil. Since my skin is already oily and I hate that heavy, congested feeling, I prefer to keep my makeup as minimal as possible. The difference is honestly dramatic. On days when I use it, oil starts appearing around 6-7 PM, but on days when I skip it, I'm already getting that greasy shine by 9 AM. The application is really smooth and easy, with a lightweight texture that feels completely oil-free. The scent fades quickly, which I appreciate, and it smells pleasant without any off-putting notes. I've been using only this product for the past year or two. After going through about two bottles in the beginning, I loved it so much and since the size is small, I was using it up quickly, so I ended up buying several at once. I didn't really think about the cost back then, but looking at it now, the price relative to the amount you get is actually quite steep. I wish they offered a larger size. In the morning, focus on hydrating your skin thoroughly with your basic skincare routine, then use this oil control product in place of your regular hydrating cream. Whether you have dry or oily skin, you'll be really satisfied with the results. I've been dealing with texture issues and uneven skin for so long, but I finally found my holy grail product! I'm not even exaggerating - after just one week of using this, about 70% of my bumpy texture completely disappeared. I'm definitely going to keep using this! The amount you get is pretty small, so I'm worried it'll run out quickly. I wish there was more product in the bottle. I apply this after layering all my oil-based skincare and moisturizers, and then I do my makeup. It works great as a primer too!
