This bare-skin cream from Airenel does it all—it brightens your complexion while protecting with SPF! I was thrilled to find the 3.0 shade, which is perfect for my tan skin tone. I don't usually wear much makeup, but I'm religious about sunscreen, so I decided to give this a try. I absolutely love how it evens out my skin tone and gives me a naturally radiant, dewy glow instead of that heavy, artificial foundation look. The formula glides on smoothly and feels hydrating, and while it doesn't completely cover blemish marks, it does a great job evening out my overall tone, reducing redness, and minimizing pores. I was a bit worried the slightly oily formula might trigger breakouts, but I haven't experienced any irritation. As a hybrid sunscreen, it's lightweight with excellent spreadability, and the finish has that beautiful luminous quality without looking matte or overdone. It gives you that natural radiance that looks like it's coming from within your skin, which I really appreciate. If you're someone who prefers a natural, effortless makeup look over heavy coverage, this is definitely a product you'll love.
The formula does have some oil content, and when you consider the sun protection aspect, you need to apply a generous amount to get adequate coverage. The oily feel makes me wish it had a more semi-matte finish instead. Also, it would be so much better if the cap were an easy-open design—since it's a tinted product, you end up with product residue on the lid after each use, which is a bit annoying.
When I apply too much product, it tends to sit on top of the skin rather than blend in seamlessly. So now I apply my regular sunscreen first, let it set, and then layer the Airenel bare-skin cream on top for the best results.
