When I use it alone, it gives such a gorgeous shine! That said, I do find it feels a bit too oily for my skin. But when I apply a hydrating serum first and then layer this mask on top, the serum absorbs beautifully and I get this amazing glossy finish that looks so polished. I end up using too much product and it runs out quickly, but if I try to apply it more sparingly, it doesn't come off as easily either. I personally like to apply a serum, essence, or ampoule underneath before using this mask. Here's my tip: if you use something too oily underneath, the mask won't dry properly and becomes really hard to remove. So I'd recommend either using the mask on its own, or pairing it with a lightweight serum, essence, or ampoule that won't feel heavy. This mask seems perfect for those with dry skin. After using it, there's absolutely no dryness left behind—my skin feels beautifully hydrated and moisturized. While it does feel hydrating, the formula is quite rich and oily. For my combination skin, it sometimes triggered small breakouts, which was disappointing.
