The essence has a rich, creamy texture and comes in a generous amount, so I always apply it in the morning before my hair dries to keep it nourished. It doesn't seem to deliver on the soothing promise as effectively as I'd hoped. The pad is generously saturated with essence, so when I used it like a sheet mask, my bumpy and irritated skin actually calmed down and felt so much smoother. There's really nothing to complain about, but if I had to pick something, the price is a bit steep, haha.
