When my skin got really irritated in summer and I had intense redness flaring up, I skipped my other skincare steps and just used this soothing gel alone—and it calmed everything down so quickly! I'd tried everything else and nothing was working on the redness, but this soothing gel from Illiyoon made such a huge difference. The absorption and spreadability are both fantastic! Plus, there's no scent at all. I think it would work beautifully for every skin type! If you have dry or very dry skin like me, using it alone (especially in winter) might make your face feel a bit tight. My skin got irritated again recently, and when I layered this soothing gel with a barrier cream and panthenol, it was absolutely perfect for this dry weather we're having! It really helps restore your skin barrier.

Fast absorption was the most important thing for me, and I'm so happy with how quickly this works. It does feel like it disappears fast, but honestly, that's exactly what I wanted! The quick absorption might not be for everyone though - some people might prefer something that lasts longer on the skin. After applying the soothing gel and then the barrier cream, my skin feels hydrated and comfortable without that tight, dry feeling. If a single cream leaves your skin feeling parched, I'd definitely recommend using this as a complementary moisturizer. I'm not sure if it's because of the soothing gel or something else, but I think you need to be careful with how much you use. When I applied it generously because my skin felt dry, I noticed some small bumps appearing on oily areas like my forehead. I've repurchased this several times because it's absolutely perfect for summer use Nothing really stands out, but I'm happy using it and I think it's great
