Since it has a lip balm formula rather than a tint, the color doesn't go on intensely all at once. Instead, it applies smoothly and blends in naturally. Even though it doesn't completely cover my natural lip color, the color payoff is impressive for a lip balm. It has decent pigmentation and the staying power is great for a balm formula! I'm definitely going to keep using this regularly because it's exactly the shade I was looking for. The stick keeps pushing up little by little, which is frustrating. I thought it might be defective. It's not a huge amount, but there's a slight stickiness to it. That said, it's still usable and not a deal-breaker. Apply a small amount to your lips and smudge it, then layer it with a few more applications until you get your desired color intensity. You can also apply it all over the lips for full coverage. Alternatively, use a nude-toned lip base first, then dab the color just on the inner part of your lips for a beautiful gradient effect.

It creates a soft, innocent-looking lip that feels fresh and youthful. Overall: The texture glides on smoothly with a creamy feel, and even the deeper shades come across as clear and sheer, so they never feel heavy or overwhelming. The shine is beautifully glossy like a balm should be—you get that gorgeous, dewy glow without needing special lighting. If you dislike any stickiness, this might not be for you since it has a bit of that melting balm texture. Also, since it's formulated as a melting balm, the color payoff is pretty minimal—you're getting more shine than pigment. Skin: Shade 17-19, deep undertones (estimated), and I typically wear whatever color I love without worrying about warm or cool tones. Lips: Natural lip tone in the first photo, naturally light with a tendency toward dryness. The color shown is applied with a cushion applicator only around the lip area (not pressed onto the entire lip to avoid dulling the shade). Photography: All photos taken around 4 PM with natural window light plus indoor lighting. Shot on Galaxy S21 with no filters or editing applied.
