No matter how much I tried to care for my lips, they kept feeling itchy and cracking. When I looked more closely, I noticed the color was staining heavily along my lip line. It's hard to see in the photos, which is frustrating. The only reason the center looks more pink is because I kept scratching it due to the irritation. Here's the thing though—most people who use color lip balms love how convenient and easy they are to apply, so they use them every single day. I was doing the same thing. Since I was only using this product, I could immediately tell it was causing my chapped lip problem. This is hands down the best brand I've ever tried! I'm absolutely loving it and I really think you should give it a shot. It's so gorgeous and I'm genuinely impressed with how much I adore it. I'm worried it might cause irritation. I really can't recommend this one. The texture and feel just aren't doing it for me, and I'm honestly pretty disappointed with how it performs. I'm confident you'll be happy with it too.

This is definitely a staple I need to keep stocked, so I had to write this review right away! The only downside is there really isn't one... but if they ever discontinue this, I'm going to cry. If I had to give a tip, well... remember that a lip balm isn't the same as a lipstick or tint, so don't expect that kind of color intensity! If you're going for a natural, fresh-faced look, a glossy lip balm like this is perfect. I have dry lips all year round, so I rely on lip balm as my go-to product. I've tried several lip balms while carefully checking their ingredients, and I've decided to stick with this one. Unless I apply a thick layer of Vaseline, even the most moisturizing and gentle lip balms dry out over time. Plus, many of those products have weak color payoff, so I end up needing to reapply them constantly. That's why my ideal lip balm needs to be gentle but also comfortable to wear even with multiple applications throughout the day. Finding a lip balm that actually meets these requirements turned out to be surprisingly difficult. Some products feel comfortable at first, but the more I apply them, the more they sting or the color becomes muddy and dull. This lip balm, though, checks all my boxes. I started with the cherry shade, and I noticed that when I layer it, the rose brick color builds up without feeling heavy or uncomfortable. I wish this product came in more color options so there would be a wider range to choose from. If you're like me and apply lip balm multiple times throughout the day, I'd recommend starting with a lighter shade. The rose brick is delicate with just one application, but when I reapply it several times like I do, by the time I leave work it becomes noticeably deeper and more intense.

Even though the formula has moisturizing properties, it feels like the lip balm slides right off the dry, cracked areas. The product just doesn't adhere well to the problem spots. I was searching for a lip balm that looks natural when applied, and this is exactly what I was looking for! When I apply it once, it gives my lips a natural tint that looks like I'm wearing lip balm, and when I apply it twice, it looks even more vibrant and fresh. I use it as a base and then as a glow product on top, and it's honestly been the best choice for me. The staying power is a bit disappointing. I understand it's a lip balm so that might be expected, but I did notice it tends to emphasize dry patches on my lips. Because of that, I make sure to apply plenty of vaseline to my lips the night before I do my makeup. I was so happy with the Power Cherry shade from my previous purchase of this product that I decided to try a different color this time. I'm pleased to say the new shade didn't disappoint me either. Compared to the Power Cherry shade, the Rose Brick color didn't hold up quite as well in terms of adhesion and longevity.
