Perfect for summer use. Use this when your skin feels irritated or red to help calm it down. Don't even bother using this in fall and winter because it leaves your skin feeling parched. There's basically no moisturizing benefit at all. I love how easy and convenient this is to use! The generous size means I can apply it liberally all over my body, and it works wonderfully as an aloe gel mask for my face too. I completely used up two bottles of this product! During summer, it's perfect for a lightweight daily application that's quick and easy to use. However, I know many people with combination skin experience serious dryness during winter, and I'm one of them. Using this alone in colder months feels too dry for my skin. I found that mixing it with other hydrating products or alternating with a moisture cream during winter worked better for me. When I mixed it with hydrating formulas, it felt much more nourishing. The product is fragrance-free, and after using it for a long time, I really noticed how gentle the formula is. People with sensitive skin should feel comfortable using this without worry. It's genuinely excellent for calming and soothing skin whenever it needs recovery, whether from sun exposure, sheet masks, or other stressors. If you haven't found a better soothing gel or lightweight daily product yet, this is definitely worth keeping in your rotation. The only downside is that once cooler weather arrives and the wind picks up, I notice issues. As someone with combination skin, I experience dryness, poor absorption, and a feeling of the product sitting on top of my skin rather than sinking in. When you need extra soothing, try storing this in the refrigerator or a cool place beforehand. This aloe soothing gel is a reliable choice. Since it comes in a generous size, you can use it generously and it still lasts quite a while. I loved that it doesn't have any weird scent, and the texture feels so light and comfortable on the skin. It's perfect for summer as a calming and cooling treatment, though if you want to use it as a mask, you'll need to apply a thicker layer than you might expect. Once it absorbs, you really need to follow up with a moisturizer. Because the formula is so lightweight, it dries down pretty quickly. I wonder if that's due to the phenoxyethanol in the ingredient list.
