Overly matte finish - perfect for oily skin types during the summer months. Flaking and peeling issues. Way too matte for me, honestly feels like the Sahara Desert. Even though I have seriously oily skin, this product just sits on top and doesn't blend at all. It gets patchy the moment you apply it! Skin Type: 17, Combination with Oily Zones Stay Power: Excellent! I tested it out when the weather warmed up, and the wear time is really impressive. Since it's not peak summer heat yet, I can't fully confirm how it holds up against heavy sweating. But true to its name, this foundation feels so much less greasy compared to my usual cushion compact—I really love that! Darkening: I wasn't too worried about darkening since the shade was already on the deeper side. I was just hoping it wouldn't turn that muddy brown color, but with the oil control working so well, there's barely any breakdown. While darkening isn't severe, after 10+ hours of wear, the shade does drop about half a tone. Coverage: As a matte cushion, it definitely delivers solid coverage. Just a heads up—if you apply concealer after the cushion, it might lift slightly, so I'd recommend using a pore brush or letting it dry completely before setting and pressing it down for better adhesion! Shade Match: Shade 13 felt way too dark for me. My forearm is a perfect match for Shade 21, and seeing how naturally it blends makes it clear that Shade 13 is definitely darker than it should be. Rather than having a pink or yellow undertone, it has this orange cast that threw me off when I swatched it on my hand. The color on my face doesn't give that bright, lifted tone I was hoping for either. Skin Finish: It's kind of hit or miss. Since it's matte, if you don't do proper exfoliation and use a hydrating base, it will absolutely look patchy. Personally, I like when a base is applied thick enough that you can really see it's there, so I enjoyed that aspect. But since the trend now is going for sheer, lightweight application, this might not work for everyone. Plus, I noticed a powdery feel, so I'd recommend gently pressing it on instead of buffing it in—especially around the nose pores. This seems like a great budget-friendly alternative to Laneige for people with very oily skin!
