I've been using retinol products for a long time, and I stuck with one brand for quite a while before someone recommended this one to me. In my opinion, it's the safest option with the least irritation. I also appreciate that the packaging is sealed so well that the ingredients stay stable and don't degrade. I've been consistent with my routine, so I've adapted well. After using 1% for a while, I switched to the 0.3% retinol expert, and honestly, it felt like applying a hydrating moisturizer or daily cream. It feels stable and soothing, though my skin does feel a bit tight every day. Now I'm using the 0.3% three to four times a week and applying the 1% about once a week, and I'm really happy with the results. It gives my skin a nice, firm, lifted feeling. The main drawback is the price. This is hands down the most effective retinol product I've ever tried. Like most retinol products, if you don't dial in the right amount, your skin can get irritated and feel sensitive. The downside is that because it contains retinol, you might experience some peeling or redness, especially when you first start using it. I had to go through an adjustment period during the first week, using it only every other day. Also, it's not a particularly hydrating formula on its own, so if you use it alone, you'll feel dryness creeping in. Both the application and absorption are excellent. If you just control the amount well, it's not irritating at all. After using up one jar, my face feels firmer and my complexion looks brighter. I also notice that my skin texture feels smoother. I highly recommend it. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. I started with the 0.1 strength and purchased the 0.3 specifically for my eye area and between my brows. As time goes on, I've become more aware of fine lines and loss of elasticity around my eyes. I'm really impressed with how Amorepacific Retinol protects the product securely with a green cable tie and opens cleanly with a dual cap design. I'm only a week into using the 0.3 strength, so I can't speak to major changes yet, but I'm confident this is an excellent product. With its stabilized 0.3% retinol concentration, it's perfect for addressing wrinkles and pore concerns, and I'm using it with full faith in its effectiveness. I compared it side by side with the 0.1 I've been using. The 0.1 comes in 30ml, so it looks like a significantly larger amount. The 0.3 only contains 20ml but comes with a premium price tag. I suspect it might be one of the priciest options on the market right now. That said, the adjustment period is unavoidable, but given the impressive results I'm expecting, I'm willing to overlook it. As the product packaging indicates, use it once every two days in the evening after cleansing, applying only a tiny amount. Since this is a high-concentration retinol that requires caution against irritation, I apply just a small amount in the evening only to the under-eye area, between the brows, around the lips, and nasolabial folds after using an essence or serum.
