The formula is gentle and mild. It seems to have a high concentration of essence, but the absorption feels a bit slow. The absorption seems slower than I'd like. I wouldn't recommend thinking of it as a toner pad alternative.

I've tried the entire licorice root line - pads, ampoules, and sheet masks - and I have to be honest about the masks. They're not my recommendation, especially for sensitive skin, because they can trigger breakouts. I wouldn't use them daily. That said, they're actually great for dry skin types. Unlike the pads and ampoules, these masks have a noticeably thicker, richer texture. The combination of thickening agents, hydrating ingredients, and oils creates this dense formula that leaves a heavy residue on your skin. For sensitive skin like mine, this thickness actually clogs pores and causes breakouts around the T-zone. Here's my tip: if you do use these masks on sensitive skin, limit it to just 10 minutes, then gently wipe away any leftover product with a toner-soaked cotton pad. I actually discovered this line through the pads first and loved them so much I grabbed the ampoules. They worked so well that I decided to try the masks too. But honestly, the masks deliver more hydration than calming benefits for sensitive skin. I'd recommend the ampoules instead. It doesn't slip or slide, so I can easily move around for the full 15 minutes without any issues. -Essence and Finish- As someone who really cares about how a treatment finishes on my skin, I appreciated that the essence wasn't applied in a thick, heavy layer. When I gently tapped it in, it absorbed beautifully and left my skin feeling wonderfully refreshed. I absolutely love the It's Skin masks. Honestly, they seem to make better masks than their basic skincare products. The tea tree mask is fantastic too. The liquid doesn't drip everywhere, and after you use it, there's no sticky residue. It leaves your skin perfectly hydrated without feeling heavy. I love how hydrating this is! After I take off the mask, my skin feels instantly fresh and clean.
