I honestly wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well this covers and how seamlessly it blends into my skin. I usually wear shade 21, but shade 20 works just as well without looking too pale or ashy at all. I have quite a few scars on my face, and this foundation does an amazing job covering them up. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this level of coverage. It definitely performs better than I anticipated. I have oily, acne-prone skin and this product covers everything beautifully without breaking down or smudging! The coverage is absolutely amazing! My only wish is that it came in a lighter shade. I'm definitely going to try a brighter tone next time if I get the chance. It feels so heavy on my skin that it's like my complexion can't breathe. Go one shade lighter when you buy! I normally wear shade 21, but shade 20 looks absolutely radiant on me! I love how smooth and flawless it makes my skin look. The darkening is really noticeable. By mid-morning, it shifts to around shade 21.5. It's frustrating because even though the color is beautiful, the oxidation ruins the whole look. I think using it with a brightening primer could prevent the darkening! Though I haven't actually tried it myself. I have combination skin and this is perfect for summer! But I really can't recommend it for winter - it gets incredibly dry. I honestly thought I was losing my mind at school with how parched my skin felt. The darkening effect was disappointing. And the coverage? I heard it was supposed to work great, but it honestly didn't do anything for me. If you want to use this during winter, make sure you prep your skin with a really solid skincare routine - way more thorough than what I did.

The coverage is medium, and I love how smoothly it applies and how it doesn't darken on the skin. From summer through early fall, if you just stick with your regular base routine, it won't look patchy. Even through mid-November, as long as you prep your skin well, you're golden! The adhesion isn't great, so you really need to nail your base routine. When I layer my serum, emulsion, and cream generously, it works better. For winter, definitely use a rich base layer, and honestly, if you don't have oily skin, I wouldn't recommend this during the coldest months. Buffering it on looks pretty, but if you want to cover blemishes, I'd suggest dabbing it on instead. Personally though, I wasn't a fan of using a spatula. It really depends on your preference, I guess? This foundation hugs your skin beautifully and leaves a soft, powdery finish. Even though I have oily skin, I barely experience any lifting, and if it does break down over time, it's super easy to touch up! I love that soft, velvety skin look, and since I don't need to use a lot of powder, everything feels so much lighter on my face! Right after application, my skin looks gorgeous, and the coverage is really impressive. It smooths over texture without emphasizing any imperfections, so I reach for it constantly as my everyday go-to! I do my makeup in the morning and it holds up beautifully through the afternoon. With just a quick touch-up, my makeup looks almost exactly like it did when I first applied it. When used alone, it does darken slightly. By evening, I noticed the shade got noticeably darker. However, if you pair it with a color-correcting primer or a brightening base, it's much less noticeable! Oil does come through on my nose and the area between my eyebrows, but once I blot and do a quick touch-up, it settles right back down. Pro tip: if you exfoliate your face first and gently press this cushion in with a dabbing motion, the coverage and finish are absolutely flawless. Seriously, there are no downsides. I have combination skin with acne-prone areas and acne scars, so my skin is pretty problematic! I originally wanted shade 21 because it's a bit lighter, but I ended up getting shade 20 and it's actually not bad at all! If you have the lighter shade 21, I'd recommend going for shade 19 instead. My acne scars are pretty severe, so I usually layer concealer multiple times, but this product doesn't budge at all - it's honestly amazing! Usually no matter how good a concealer is, it tends to shift when you apply it, but this one seriously doesn't move. It's wild! That said, I'm not totally convinced the coverage is as strong as it could be, so using it alone feels a bit iffy if you know what I mean. But it's definitely not bad! The price feels a bit steep for the amount of product you get. That said, it does give your skin a really polished, refined finish, so it's worth it!
