Shade 23 for oily, yellow-toned skin with redness across the face Came out darker than expected. Shade 22 from this brand seems to match shade 23 from other brands. Shade 22 appears to be neutral-toned. I usually stick to shades with more yellow undertones, and on first application it felt silky with a hint of pink, creating a slight mismatch with my neck tone, but it blended naturally with minimal darkening. Easy-to-apply formula. Great pore coverage. The application feels like a hydrating, skin-like finish, and the wear is similar to a long-lasting, skin-like finish product. My skin has a lot of texture, so that might be part of it, but it definitely sits on top around my nose area. I intentionally minimized my base routine (exfoliating toner-essence-hydrating cream) and applied it really thin, but I still felt it sitting on the surface. While it does adhere to the skin, it's hard to expect complete adhesion. The photo was taken 3 hours after application with setting spray. Personally, I found that a shade-matching cushion adhered better. It feels powdery but also dry. I think it would work better with a more substantial base. The darkening effect is pretty decent, and the coverage is surprisingly good too. You might need a concealer for bigger blemishes, but honestly, the color is absolutely beautiful! It does lean a bit matte, so if you skip the cream step in your base routine, you might notice some flaking and dryness. That was a bit disappointing for me. I'm in love with this, Javindo If I really had to nitpick, I'm not entirely sure if it's because of the base, but I do notice it has a tendency to look a bit heavy and sit on top of the skin Don't apply it too thick! It can look cakey! Go one shade lighter than you think you need. I'm a shade 22, and I was worried that shade 21 would be too dark, so I grabbed shade 22 instead. Let me tell you, my complexion looked absolutely dull. Seriously, go at least one shade lighter. Please. Even then, it's still not bright enough. This foundation just doesn't have that radiant glow to it. As for coverage, it's decent, nothing crazy. It's more of a nice, natural coverage rather than full-on heavy duty. I think I'm going to stick with this as my everyday go-to foundation. No issues there. It doesn't break down or anything, and honestly, I'm really happy with it. I love how this doesn't budge easily! I've been searching everywhere for a shade 22, and other brands just don't carry it, so I'm finally settling down with this one. The best thing about this product is that it doesn't wash off easily in water. It works really well for combination skin too, and when you apply it with a spatula, your skin looks so much more refined and beautiful. The coverage feels a bit light, so you might need to go up a shade or so to get the look you want.
