First off, the formula is incredibly smooth and silky. It's not one of those soft formulas that collapses when you apply pressure—instead, it glides on beautifully with a moisturizing feel that's just lovely. Like all Jill Stuart products, it has this subtle, understated color payoff that looks gorgeous even on bare skin. What I really love is that you can build up the color intensity with each layer, so the pigmentation is totally satisfying. I've also heard that this formula contains gel components that set over time, and honestly, that explains why despite being so smooth and hydrating, the wear time is surprisingly impressive! It was absolutely perfect for winter. The scent isn't particularly fragrant. I usually have high expectations for fragrance in department store cosmetics, but this one doesn't have that signature pleasant aroma—it has its own distinct smell that isn't bad, just different. It just doesn't quite live up to what you'd expect from a luxury department store brand.
