I kept hearing that the shade was too dark and that I should go for a lighter tone, but even after getting the brightest shade available, I didn't notice any brightening effect. Since I bought this mainly for its concealer function, I actually prefer using it that way—I just apply it where I need it on my cheeks to cover redness, and it looks so natural. The applicator works beautifully too, and honestly, the concealer coverage is really impressive. My skin looks so much better with it. When you apply it on dry skin, it definitely gets patchy, and it's honestly too thick to use as a standalone foundation. Compared to the popular About Tone powder, it's surprisingly compact and easy to carry around with you 1. Since my skin tends to have visible pores, gets quite oily, and breaks out occasionally, the formula didn't hold up as well as I'd hoped throughout the day 2. When I first started using this cushion, I thought it applied way too thick, so I was hesitant to use it at first. But after figuring out how to apply it more sheer, I've been using it consistently until now. Since I'm almost out, I went looking to repurchase, and I have to say the price point is a bit steep. That said, the coverage is solid and the formula seems decent. I haven't experienced any pilling or irritation during wear, but the staying power leaves something to be desired. Since it's summer and I literally sweat buckets, the product just melts right off with my perspiration. When it breaks down, the makeup completely disappears and my skin gets dark pretty quickly. So honestly, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who tends to sweat a lot. The longevity isn't great and it applies too heavily, making it tricky for beginners to work with.

I've been consistently using the Jeong Saemmul cushion, and when I heard they released a concealer cushion, I had to try it! Since it's a cushion product, application is so easy - I just use the puff without needing any brushes or complicated techniques! It leans more toward matte than semi-matte, and it feels a bit dry on the skin. I was worried that using this as a concealer with a cushion applicator might feel too dewy and wouldn't stay put, but I'm pleasantly surprised! I wish they offered a lighter shade option. I'm really loving how well this works, but the darker tone is honestly such a letdown for me. What's amazing is that I've been using this for months and it just doesn't run out, no matter how much I use it. I was thinking about switching because I was worried it might start to smell, but on the day I decided to finish it, so much product came out—it's like an endless supply! The skin photo I attached second is the back of my hand, and my actual face is a bit more red-toned than that. But this concealer covers everything beautifully, just like it's my own skin. I have really severe redness and flushing on my cheeks, and this just covers it all up. It was my first concealer and I absolutely loved it. Cushion compacts do need to be replaced regularly, and since I bought mine without a gift set, the value for money felt a bit disappointing. The coverage is fantastic and it adheres beautifully to the skin. When I apply it thinly and blend it out, my complexion looks absolutely flawless and poreless. However, this foundation does have a darkening effect, and the shade itself runs a bit dark to begin with. As time goes on, my face ends up looking noticeably darker than I'd like, which is disappointing. The coverage, fragrance, hydration, and staying power are all fantastic. I used to rely solely on tone-up sunscreen, but it would always separate and my powder would just become a mirror by midday. This is genuinely the first product I've actually done my makeup with in the morning and felt confident enough to touch up in the afternoon. I wish the shade had more of a purple tone to it. Since I'm not a fan of yellow-based powders, I have to use it very sparingly and apply it super thin so it doesn't show. Most importantly, make sure to blend your powder well and cleanse thoroughly after each use.
