This cushion foundation is a real winner! The coverage is impressive and it lasts all day long. I love how the shade blends so naturally into my skin tone. Even though I have dry skin, this semi-matte cushion works beautifully for me. Just keep in mind that during winter months, you'll want to give your skincare routine some extra attention! The coverage is pretty solid, and it pairs beautifully with the water cream sample you included - they're honestly a match made in heaven. The pore primer is fantastic too. The case isn't really my style, but for the price, I'm really happy with this purchase. I'm absolutely thrilled with how well this covers and lasts! I realized now that all those touch-ups I've been doing throughout the day were because of my old cushion compact. I apply it in the morning and it stays put right through the evening. As a cool-toned person in winter, I find it has a slightly yellow undertone. The coverage is pretty solid, and since the original shade runs darker, I'd recommend going a shade lighter. Plus, when you first apply it, your skin looks absolutely flawless and radiant! Since it's darker than my natural skin tone, I've noticed the darkening effect happens faster than expected. Before applying the cushion, press the back of the lid to control the amount of product, and it applies so evenly and smoothly!

The coverage is absolutely incredible! Even though I have oily skin, it breaks down beautifully without looking patchy or uneven. It applies quite thickly and generously, so you'll really need to be careful about how much product you use. I'd recommend dispensing a small amount onto a mixing palette first before applying it to your face.

With the weather being so hot and humid, I found that my regular cushion felt too dewy and heavy on my skin. Since I have dry skin, I couldn't skip my skincare routine, so I applied a generous base and tapped the cushion on top. But instead of that beautiful glow, all I got was shine and sweat, so I knew I needed a mattified version to get me through summer. That's why I ordered this cushion. In the photo, the leftmost is the Cover Layer, next is the Master Class, and on the right is the Essential, and they're all in Medium or Sand shades. I thought since they're from the same brand, the shades would be similar, but the Cover Layer cushion is actually the brightest of the three and has less yellow undertone. It's definitely more matte than the Essential cushion, so it gives less shine and lasts longer throughout the day. When I apply it to my skin, it seems a bit brighter, but the difference isn't dramatic enough to really notice. But honestly, my T-zone is still prone to getting shiny no matter what, so even if this applies thicker, I'm wondering if I should have gone for the long-wear version instead. I usually wear shade 23 and have oily skin. Since my complexion got quite dark, I thought using a slightly darker shade than 23 would look more natural, so I tried it. But it made my skin look way too dark, so I immediately repurchased in medium. Even with the medium shade, it's definitely different from the shade 23 I normally use with other foundations - it just looks darker. I'm not someone who puts a lot of effort into makeup, so I do aim for a natural look. On the first day I applied it, it looked so natural that I was really happy with how it looked when I left the house. But when I checked the mirror outside, my face looked dull and I was shocked. On days when I'm being more careful, I apply it as a base and then layer a foundation one shade lighter on top. The coverage is really good, so I'm satisfied with that. I keep using this because the coverage is really impressive. Lately I've noticed the product looks a bit darker than my skin tone, so I've been wondering if I should go up a shade... but honestly it works so well for me that I just stick with it. Plus, the price point is great with all the discounts they offer. Not really any downsides, haha. My only thing is I'm not totally sure if the shade matches my skin tone perfectly since I can only see it on myself. I wish there were sample sizes available so I could test it out first.
