Back then, only two brands were imported here - this one and another company's product - and honestly, neither had great spreadability. In winter, they'd harden up and become solid, which was annoying. But later, when it became popular in Korea, they released a version with much better texture. I know it sounds counterintuitive - people with lots of acne have oily skin, so adding more oil seems wrong - but surprisingly, it doesn't feel overly greasy at all. Right after application it feels oily, but when I use it every night before bed, my skin's overall condition actually seems to improve. The moisturizing power in winter is seriously amazing. And here's the important part! I definitely had quite severe pustular acne in my early twenties with some scarring, and I was using this product from my mid-twenties (for over 3 years). I have no acne scars now. I'm not sure if this product is responsible for that - acne scars can fade naturally with age anyway - but I started using this horse oil specifically because people said it was good for fading acne scars. Now that I'm in my late thirties, I genuinely have no acne scars. Since I use affordable products like Cetaphil and don't invest heavily in skincare, this product was probably the one that made the difference. It's way too oily for summer use, so I can't wear it then. Plus, the bottle itself is really inconvenient. Stretch mark prevention - Five stars. I started gaining weight during puberty and hit my peak weight by high school. For anyone worried about stretch marks, definitely purchase and try this product. I'm writing this not as an advertisement, but because I still have stretch marks on my thighs from not properly caring for them in middle school, and I hope others won't have the same regrets I do. I've been dealing with ongoing stress and it's become a real source of insecurity for me. Usage - This is purely my personal method! After showering, I pat my skin dry, scoop out some oil balm, and massage it thoroughly into the stretch mark areas, including the surrounding skin. Before bed, I check my legs and if the oil has been absorbed or rubbed off by clothing, I apply another thin layer before sleeping. In the morning before school, I apply a thin layer again. After doing this for a few days, you'll notice real improvement. It doesn't change overnight, but after about a week, you can see visible results. I've heard so many people say their skin improved after using this. When you first apply it, since it's an oil, it definitely feels quite rich and oily, but it absorbs quickly after a few minutes. It has this interesting Vaseline-like texture that's honestly kind of unique! It's perfect for applying to stretch marks, and I love using it on those dry patches around my nose. If you have dry skin, this is seriously a game-changer. I picked mine up at a Don Quixote in Japan! The Vaseline-like formula means if you apply it all over your face, it leaves you feeling super greasy. Also, it doesn't come with a spatula, which is a bit of a bummer. It seems to work really well when my skin feels dry. I think people who love horse oil creams or find them work perfectly for their skin would absolutely adore this. I bought it because I knew it was the most popular horse oil cream on the market, but honestly, it was just okay for me. The hydration is definitely noticeable though. For these dry, cold seasons we're having, it seems like a great choice for nighttime skincare. It didn't work well on my face, so I tried using it as a body cream instead, but that's been a bit tricky. Plus, I have to scoop it out each time I use it, which is annoying. Highly recommend, highly recommend, highly recommend, highly recommend. This product is so creamy and rich that I think it would be perfect for anyone with dry skin. Since I have oily skin myself, I didn't find any particular benefits for my skin type. Since this is a cream formula, it made my oily skin produce way too much excess oil. I've repurchased this product many times. 1. No sticky residue. 2. It has some oil content but feels soothing. It really helps with breakouts. 3. The staying power lasts a long time. 4. It absorbs beautifully into the skin. 5. It applies so smoothly. 6. No irritation at all. The price point is quite steep. That said, you do get results that match the cost. The jar packaging makes it a bit inconvenient to dispense. In summer, it becomes too thin and runny, and in winter, it tends to harden. Using a spatula, dispense an amount about the size of your fingertip. Warm it between your fingers by rubbing, then gently press and pat it onto your face for application.
