I picked this up during my trip to Japan and I'm really impressed! It glides on so smoothly and the color payoff is fantastic. I bought it because I heard it lasts a long time, and honestly, it totally delivers on that promise. It's decent. The shade is pretty and it seems fine. Not the absolute best shade for light undertones, but definitely not the worst either? It gives off a sophisticated, muted beige vibe that feels quite luxurious. Though I have to say, it does lean a bit dull... My preference ranking: Shade 1 >> Shade 2, Shade 7. The staying power is solid, though Shade 1 performs even better. The color payoff is amazing! The shade itself is a soft, muted coral that has just the right saturation to brighten your complexion. It's absolutely stunning on deep undertones and cool undertones - seriously, it works beautifully on both! Not ideal for warm undertones though. If you have a fair, rosy complexion, this is literally perfect for you. Even though the color isn't super intense, it has this gorgeous mauve-toned quality that actually revives your lips instead of making them look washed out. The coral base mixed with those subtle yellow undertones brings your lips to life in the best way. The staying power is exceptional, which I'll explain more about when I mention the downsides. I'd definitely recommend this for deep undertones, fair rosy complexions, and cool undertones - and I think it would work nicely on warm undertones too! Because the formula needs to have such strong staying power, it contains drying ingredients that can leave your lips feeling parched and tight. The red colorants used can be pretty harsh on sensitive lips. I've noticed that the product tends to settle unevenly across my lips, creating dry patches that feel almost like chapped lips, so I have to apply lip balm and use Vaseline before and after wearing it. I usually prefer chalk-finish lip products, but Kate's Pink Banana has a moisturizing formula that applies beautifully and delivers such a gorgeous color payoff. I got diagnosed with a light undertone at Perucol, and when I wear this on my lips, the shade looks so natural and flattering without any clashing. It's become my go-to everyday lip color! Nothing really stands out as a downside. I was always torn between lip balms that don't have enough color payoff and lipsticks that feel too dry. This product is exactly what I've been looking for! Just one swipe gives me that perfect juicy lip look with beautiful color and moisture. I absolutely love it! If you want more intense color, you can always layer it, but honestly, I think it looks the prettiest with just one application. I really can't find anything to complain about! It looks amazing on bare skin and works beautifully over makeup too. No flaking or texture issues whatsoever. Since it's so popular in Japan, I'm confident it won't be discontinued. Honestly, if they ever stop making this, I don't know what I'd do. It's actually pretty hard to find in stock, and the price is a bit steep. Since it's so hydrating, it does wear down quickly and you end up needing to repurchase frequently. For the price point, that's a little frustrating. This pairs beautifully with the Puri 3D Voluming Gloss in Vanilla - try using them together! The gloss fills in any shine gaps and the color harmony is absolutely gorgeous.
