This lip balm formula with a glossy finish is absolutely amazing - it's a shiny lipstick that doesn't feel sticky at all. Honestly, it has the best application of any glossy lip product I've tried, and I find myself reaching for it constantly. The color payoff lasts longer than a tint, which is a huge plus. I'm definitely repurchasing this one. It has deep undertones with a muted finish, but if orange-based shades don't work for your skin tone, wearing it alone might be tricky. I bought this because it's the most popular product in Japan, and I'm so glad I did! The staying power is fantastic, the shine is gorgeous, the color is beautiful, and even the case design is sleek and pretty. It closes so smoothly and makes a satisfying click. The product quality is exactly what I was hoping for. It gives such a subtle, elegant look that makes my skin appear radiant. Application is incredibly easy, and honestly, it's just beautiful. No downsides really. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth every penny. I'm really happy with it. The case is fantastic and so convenient to use. It's thin and compact.

Since my lips have cooler undertones, I really need that beige-to-orange warmth to balance them out properly. I did use shade 14 quite a bit, but I actually prefer more muted tones, so shade 3 has won me over. The formula is firm, but it applies so smoothly and even with multiple layers, there's zero clumping. The application is flawless and my lips feel comfortable, though I do notice my lips get drier as the weather changes, so I find myself reaching for lip balm more often. When I apply it with a matte finish and define my lip line first, the shine isn't overwhelming at all. It removes cleanly without any staining, and while the color stays put really well with no transfer, the shade and that dewy feel linger beautifully throughout the day. The black packaging makes it really hard to tell the shades apart. The design itself isn't that appealing either. Lacado has a decent formula, but the hydration and longevity don't compare to Lip Monster at all, especially the staying power is disappointing. Anna Sui applies smoothly which is great, but it has this white cast that makes it look a bit patchy.
