I was really disappointed when Romand discontinued Night Marine, so finding a gloss that could replace it has made me so happy. The plumping effect is pretty nice, and it's not overly shiny or harsh at all. 1. The plumping effect is there, but it's so subtle that it feels barely noticeable. 2. The applicator is just a regular brush, so whenever I want to layer it over another tint, I worry the previous color will get smudged. Because of that, I end up having to dab it on with my finger or a silicone brush every single time, which is such a hassle. Honestly, if they'd included a silicone brush applicator instead, it would have been so much more convenient and hygienic to use.

The volumizing effect gives such a gorgeous plump look, and honestly, it feels so refreshing on my lips during summer. The formula is so moisturizing that I don't even need to carry a separate lip balm around. You can layer it over matte lipsticks to create that trendy glossy lip look everyone's obsessed with right now (the photo shows it layered over a ruby shade). I even dab a tiny bit on the tip of my nose to add some sparkle and shine to my makeup. If you love experimenting with bold, creative looks, I'd definitely recommend this! If I had to pick a downside, it's the price point. This isn't really a standalone product—you're meant to layer it with other lipsticks, so paying around twenty dollars for it feels a bit steep. That said, the unique color makes it worth it, so I don't regret the purchase.
