I'm not sure about the absorption, but when I dab it directly onto problem areas with a cotton swab, it dries quickly. It didn't irritate my skin or feel harsh at all. The treated area forms a protective coating, so you can sleep peacefully without worrying about the ointment rubbing off. I've heard that pillows can be especially problematic since friction against your face can spread bacteria and worsen troubled skin, but this product gives me real peace of mind. It takes a while to dry completely, and it felt a bit stingy on larger blemishes. But here's the thing—when I wear makeup for long hours, blemishes pop up, and sometimes they're just red and inflamed without being ready to extract. They don't go away on their own and just sit there for days, eventually getting worse and more inflamed. That's when you really need something to calm down the irritation and stop it from escalating. What sold me on this yellow cream patch is that it's specifically designed to be applied "before" the blemish fully forms. By calming and treating the inflamed area right away, it prevents things from getting worse and the blemish just quietly fades away—it's amazing! I'm really particular about hygiene, and I was blown away by how thoughtful this product is. It comes with a dual-cap design and sterilized applicator swabs. They explained that the dual-cap prevents the formula from changing, and honestly, this is the first time I've seen a product this meticulous. Considering that you need to repeatedly dip the applicator into the product, regular exposed swabs would feel pretty gross, but including sterilized applicators? I get the most blemishes in the crease between my nose and cheek, and it's honestly so frustrating because that area moves a lot, so patches don't stick well there, and makeup gets trapped easily. You can target specific areas while protecting your skin. Plus, it comes with individually wrapped applicators, so it's super hygienic. It doesn't come off easily and needs to be soaked in water first. Even then, it can feel a bit irritating when you remove it. I'm not really sure if it's actually working. Regular acne patches tend to fall off while you sleep or slip around when you apply cream underneath, making them hard to stick properly. What I love about this product is that you can apply it exactly where you want it and use as much or as little as you need. Of course, it's not going to give you dramatic overnight results, but you'll notice the redness gradually fading with consistent use, and the blemishes do seem to calm down little by little. I think it's definitely worth having one at home. With typical acne patches, you just grab and peel them off, but this one doesn't come off that easily. When I put the patch on at night and sleep, then wash my face in the morning, I find it comes off much better once it's been slightly dampened by water. If you apply it too thickly and sit upright while it's drying, the product can slide down from where you applied it on the blemish, so it ends up drying lower than where you actually wanted it. My tip is to either lie down while it dries so it doesn't run, or use just a tiny amount so it dries quickly without sliding down. I received this product for free as part of a promotional event, and I'm not obligated to write a review. When I apply it, it creates a thin protective layer that works wonderfully as an alternative to traditional patches. I've noticed my breakouts seem to calm down noticeably with regular use. I can't really think of any downsides. Since this is my first treatment product beyond the standard patch format, I'm having fun experimenting with it. After extracting a blemish, I apply a medicated patch first, then follow up with this yellow patch treatment. Even before a breakout fully appears, I find it helpful to use this at the first sign of a blemish forming. If you don't have super resilient skin, please do a patch test before using this product!! I applied it to my brow area, jawline, and forehead. Since I've had folliculitis flare-ups between my brows before, I tried this product thinking it was meant for preventative use. But it started burning before it even dried, so I washed it all off immediately. Right after rinsing, there was slight redness, but I thought it would calm down with skincare, so I went to bed. The next morning, my skin was bright red like I'd had a chemical burn or used something way too strong, and it felt really irritated. I'm not sure if I missed reading other reviews carefully, but either way, please be careful when using this. Plus, when you first open it, all the product clumps up in the twisting section. I wiped it off at first, then realized I should have saved it and tried to pick up what was left. Honestly, it looks messy, makes me question if this is a legitimate product, and it really shakes my confidence in the brand. I hope they fix this issue. Skin sensitivity test is essential. If you experience any stinging or burning sensation, rinse it off quickly.
