After using this consistently for a full year, I have to say I'm impressed. Even though my skin is sensitive, I haven't experienced any breakouts. When I apply it with the Philimilli 811 brush like I did from the start, it really fills in my pores beautifully. The product lasts forever though, which is both a blessing and a curse because I keep wanting to try other things, but the amount just doesn't seem to go down! I do have one noticeably large pore, and while this does a great job covering most pores, there are limits to what it can hide when dealing with really enlarged pores. This works amazingly well with the Philimilli 811 brush! The brush definitely does a better job of filling in pores compared to applying it by hand.

I naturally have quite a few pores of all sizes, so I always apply a primer before doing my makeup. Honestly, I've tried almost every primer on the market. Most of them do a decent job with smaller pores, but when it comes to those really stubborn, enlarged pores, they just don't cut it. But this primer? It covers those large pores beautifully. The firm, mousse-like texture is absolutely ideal for minimizing the appearance of enlarged pores. Once I apply it and layer my foundation on top, my skin looks completely blurred and poreless! The main downside is that it feels heavy and applies quite thickly. Since it comes in a glass jar, it's pretty weighty to carry around in a makeup bag. The jar packaging is also inconvenient to use—I wish it came in a tube instead. If you're mainly concerned about smaller pores, I wouldn't recommend this one for you. Here's a helpful tip: first, gently roll the product onto the areas with larger pores using your fingers, then use a brush to lightly sweep away any excess. This technique really helps minimize that heavy, thick feeling!

Primers tend to have a thick, creamy texture, but this one feels lighter and more comfortable to use. I saw lots of positive reviews about the compact size, but honestly, I didn't notice any significant results from using it.

First, my skin type is combination, and the T-zone area where I apply primer tends to be oily and prone to excess shine. My skin is quite sensitive, so it reacts easily if a product isn't the right fit for me. L'Oreal Paris Base Magic Primer definitely delivers on its promises. Where I apply it, the primer fills in my pores, controls oil, and creates a beautifully blurred, smooth finish. The effect is really noticeable! How to use it: After completing your regular skincare routine, if you're using a tinted sunscreen, apply the primer before the sunscreen. If you're using a regular sunscreen without tint, apply the primer after the sunscreen. Because the smoothing effect is so strong, those with dry skin might feel like they're experiencing flaking or peeling. I think this primer works better for oily skin types. If you have dry skin and really want to try it, you can follow my combination method below to help address any dryness, so it should work okay for dry skin too. I've been using this for almost a month now following a YouTuber's recommended routine, and it works amazingly well for me. I haven't experienced any breakouts, so it's become an absolute must-have in my makeup bag. Since I use a tinted sunscreen, here's my daily routine: After skincare, I apply L'Oreal Paris Primer, then a base prep product, and finally my tinted sunscreen in that order every single day. When I do this before makeup, my foundation applies beautifully and my pores completely disappear. My skin looks absolutely flawless. The coverage is fantastic, and once you apply it, your skin feels incredibly smooth and powdery. The texture is a bit firm, kind of like a cleansing balm. The primer gives a nice, soft-focus finish and you get plenty of product for your money! I couldn't really see the difference it made, so I stopped using it. It's just sitting in my drawer now...
