Hydration and soothing power The skin feels immediately moisturized and noticeably calmed upon application. Even when layered thinly multiple times, it doesn't feel heavy and works perfectly for hydration layering. With consistent use, fine flaking from dryness, redness, and tightness have definitely improved. Especially after showering when skin feels extremely tight, applying this quickly relieves itching and provides a soothing effect. 3. Application and absorption The formula glides on smoothly with minimal friction, making it comfortable to use even on irritation-prone skin. It absorbs cleanly without any greasy residue, and within minutes of application, there's no stickiness and the skin texture looks refined. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I always check the ingredients before buying. Products with centella asiatica, madecassoside, squalane, shea butter, and sodium hyaluronate don't work for me, but this one doesn't contain any of those, so I decided to give it a try. I also really appreciate that it doesn't have a bunch of random plant extracts thrown in either. The formula feels a bit too lightweight, so the moisturizing power isn't quite there for me. Plus, when I apply it, my face gets shiny and slick, but it still feels dry underneath. I wish it would give me that matte finish with better hydration at the same time. The old Cetaphil used to do that, so I'm guessing it's just a difference in formulation technology.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Overall Thoughts: For my skin type, even one pump feels a bit dry. I ended up trying this product by chance, and if I were buying it with my own money, I'd be on the fence about it. Because it's such a lightweight emulsion, it absorbs quickly on my skin, and I think it would work great as a summer makeup primer without any issues. When I did feel that dryness creeping in, I'd just apply an extra layer. Personally, I'm more drawn to richer, more luxurious creams with that bouncy texture, and I also prefer highly concentrated nourishing creams. So this one feels a little underwhelming for me. I thought this emulsion wouldn't provide enough hydration for very dry skin since it has a lightweight, non-greasy feel, but I was pleasantly surprised! It's so easy to use and feels lightweight! I apply it anywhere after showering without worrying, and I've never experienced any breakouts or irritation. I've been using this almost every single day. Any downsides? Honestly, there aren't any! The amount you get is generous, so it lasted me quite a while. The absorption is excellent, and it's perfect for daily use. I'd definitely recommend this for dry skin. My breakouts didn't improve as much as I hoped. Plus, one application alone leaves my skin feeling tight, so I need to apply it multiple times.
