This is hands down the best cushion foundation I've ever used. The matte finish is absolutely perfect for summer - it keeps my skin looking fresh all day long. The puff is amazing quality and doesn't shed at all, which makes application so easy. The coverage is fantastic too, and I love that the orange puff holder keeps everything in place. It's seriously my go-to cushion for the warm months! If I had to mention one downside, it would be that during winter the formula can emphasize dry patches a bit, and you need to be careful about how much product you pick up with the puff each time. Since I set it with powder afterward, the wear time lasts really long throughout the day. This foundation offers excellent coverage with a matte finish, and the staying power is impressive. I have oily skin, and I really appreciated that it didn't break down or shift throughout the day. My skin is quite sensitive, and unfortunately this product caused irritation. This product is incredibly hydrating and moisturizing. I wish I had chosen it under better circumstances though. When I first purchased it, I was just starting my makeup journey and didn't really know my true skin tone yet, so I ended up picking a shade that doesn't match my complexion. That's why I can't use it now, which is honestly disappointing. But I have to say, the product itself is absolutely fantastic. There really weren't any downsides. I didn't experience any breakouts or irritation, and the texture felt great on my skin. This is absolutely perfect for summer use! I was looking for that instant grip and seamless finish the moment I apply it, followed by that beautiful matte effect, and this product delivers exactly that. Plus, the coverage is spot-on. It was fantastic during summer, but when winter rolled around, my skin got so dry that even after layering my skincare routine and applying this cushion, it felt patchy and uncomfortable. I think I've gone through about three tubes. I used it constantly throughout the summer. I love how matte it is and the color has no gray undertones. After the reformulation, the texture feels a bit lighter and more fluid, but it's actually pretty great for combination skin! I reach for this whenever I want that matte finish. Since I tend to get oily, it's absolutely perfect during summer—seriously, I can't live without it! Even in winter, as long as I layer a moisturizer underneath, it works beautifully without any issues! Even with minimal base preparation, this foundation can break down pretty easily. I know this matte cushion is pretty divisive when it comes to how it feels on the skin, but I loved how it gave me that perfectly matte finish without needing to apply powder as a second step. There were a lot of comments about it being too light, but when I compared it to About Tone, which is famous for its bright shades, the color was actually similar to About Tone 21.5 and 21C. The formula didn't break down easily, and it created such a beautiful skin texture when it blended with my natural oils. I honestly didn't find much to complain about, but I think powder-based cushions in general tend to be hit or miss for most people. I have to say right from the start that this product is absolutely fantastic. It's marketed as a matte finish, but it doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all. It has this amazing texture that's smooth on the surface yet dewy underneath, if that makes sense? I've tried countless foundations, but I've rarely found a matte cushion at this price point that performs this well. I'm genuinely impressed. Even during winter, as long as you keep up with a solid skincare routine, this works beautifully year-round without any issues. The color doesn't shift noticeably either, so if I ever switch back to matte formulas, I honestly think I'd come right back to this one. It's a bit disappointing that the store doesn't sell Laneige's exclusive puffs separately.
