I love how soothing this feels on my skin. It spreads so smoothly and feels less greasy than the B5+ formula, which makes it perfect for daytime use. I've been using it as my go-to day product throughout fall and winter without any irritation or breakouts. I can't really think of any major drawbacks. For oily skin, this is definitely better than B5+ for daily use. It applies so smoothly and feels really tacky in the best way, plus it calms irritation beautifully. I've been using this for over a year and it works well for my dry skin. However, it's not quite enough on its own, so I layer it with another cream for better results. Since I have very dry skin, I think this might feel too dry on its own. This is perfect when your skin feels itchy. Apply it whenever your skin barrier feels compromised. Way too much oil in this formula. At first, I'd apply it before bed and wake up looking like a shiny egg, but then my skin got used to it and stopped responding. I've been seeing this rich cream all over blogs and YouTube, so I'm sharing my honest review after using two tubes. I'm not entirely sure if it's actually working for me. The texture is quite thick and dense, so you really need to massage it in slowly and let it absorb gradually into your skin. It seems like it would be better suited for dry skin rather than oily skin. It feels like the perfect winter cream for those cold, harsh months. For my combination skin, I didn't notice any dramatic results, though. I'd recommend this for the dead of winter when your skin is parched, or after laser treatments. I wouldn't suggest it as a daily moisturizer. The cream has a thick, rich texture that I'd recommend for winter use, but it feels a bit heavy on my skin during summer. It might work well as a night cream before bed. My skin became really sensitive this summer, and everything I applied felt irritating and extremely dry. So starting from late August 2025, I began using La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5+. At first glance, it looks like a thick white cream, so I wondered if it might feel heavy. But when I actually applied it, it spread smoothly and surprisingly absorbed quickly into my skin. The absorption is excellent, so even with my combination skin, I didn't feel weighed down. Especially on days when my skin felt inflamed and sensitive, I could feel it calming down right away. What I loved: 1. Soothing effect is real: Red and sensitive skin calms down fast 2. Absorption: The product isn't overly oily and leaves skin feeling hydrated without shine, which works great for combination skin 3. Hydration: It tackles dry patches underneath while keeping the surface from looking greasy Best for: Combination skin: Light enough to use without any worry What could be better: 1. Sometimes feels slightly shiny when applied during the day in summer 2. On days when skin condition isn't great, occasionally small breakouts appear 3.
