I absolutely loved La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast Balm, so I decided to try their gel version for summer. I thought the lighter texture would be great, but it seems like the formula is quite different. It looks like only the key ingredients and product name are the same. If you're buying it specifically for the Cicaplast Balm experience, I'd honestly recommend sticking with the original. But if you're looking for something with a different purpose, this gel might work well for you. They rarely offer discounts. Among cica products, gel formulas have exceptional absorption. When you apply it, you get this wonderfully light and refreshing feeling on your skin. If you use it consistently and apply it properly, your skin becomes incredibly soft and supple before you know it. I really encourage anyone with dry skin to make sure you're using it regularly. Gel formulas seem fine because they're lighter than emulsions. Cica gel works beautifully when you apply it as that middle step between your toner and emulsion.
