I've been searching everywhere for a foundation without silicones, and I finally found it! You won't believe what happened to my skin. At some point, my complexion started reacting badly to common ingredients like ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, centella asiatica, madecassoside, parabens, and xanthan gum. But the real culprits? Fragrance and silicones. Whenever these slip into my products, I break out in blisters, develop red patches, and get unbearably itchy. My skin basically revolts! Can you imagine how many poorly matched foundations I've been wearing all this time? And don't even get me started on how much money I've wasted figuring this out! The worst offenders are silicones, hands down. There are so many variations—dimethicone, vinyl methicone, phenyl methicone, and all these other compounds with different prefixes. Why are there so many silicone derivatives in cosmetics anyway? Filtering them all out was absolutely exhausting. Here's the thing though: these ingredients can't overlap. Finding a single product that avoids all of them simultaneously? That's basically impossible. And that's not even the whole story! Think about your entire skincare routine—foundation is just one step. What about your base products? Accessibility matters too. If a product isn't widely available, you can't even buy it. Plus, foundation shade is everything. I happen to have fair skin, which makes it even harder. Even when I find the right product, it's always too dark and makes me look washed out. Most options lean pink, which makes me look flushed on top of everything else. Meeting all these requirements? It's not easy. I'm tired just talking about it! So I've compromised before—if the ingredients worked for my skin, I'd use the product even if the formula wasn't perfect. I basically relied on concealer for my base makeup. Recently, as clean beauty has become more popular, I've had more options to choose from, but I'm still pretty limited. Finding this foundation felt like a victory, and I got so caught up reminiscing about my struggles that I wrote way too much of an introduction. Anyway, this is one of the rare foundations I've managed to find after all that filtering. Here's my actual review: I discovered this product comes in shade OW1 Satin, which is a newer release. And get this—it's not even pink-toned! It has a slight yellow undertone, which is perfect because even though I'm cool-toned in summer, a hint of warmth makes me look more radiant. When I apply it, I'm not sure if it's oily or dewy—the texture is a bit thin and fluid. I didn't research the product concept beforehand, so I wasn't sure if it was a luminous or matte finish, but it seems to be the former. That works better for me since I have extremely dry skin. The shade is exactly what I wanted, but at first, the texture felt so slippery that I worried about staying power. Turns out I was wrong—it blends beautifully and adheres well. It doesn't break down or look patchy throughout the day. Most importantly, I've used it twice now and haven't experienced any skin reactions. My skin usually responds quickly to problematic products—I'll get heat flushes or itching before I even finish my makeup, especially if fragrance content is high. Then comes the rash and blisters in that order. So far, this foundation seems fine. I'm not completely letting my guard down yet, but I'm planning to keep testing it. Regardless, this product is genuinely good and worth recommending to anyone with dry skin. Despite the lightweight formula, the coverage is impressive. I use a teardrop-shaped sponge, and it works beautifully with this foundation. I've only used it twice, so there aren't really any downsides with the foundation itself. The only minor thing is that the packaging is glass, which makes it a bit heavy.
