- Highly recommended for dry skin! This sunscreen glides on so smoothly that you'd swear it's mineral-based, and the white cast is barely noticeable, if at all. It doesn't feel heavy or leave any residue. - When you want something lightweight and don't need extra coverage, this is my go-to product. For a mineral-based formula, it's surprisingly lightweight. It applies smoothly and effortlessly without any irritation to the eyes. I don't really have any complaints, except the container is a bit on the small side. No special tips needed. My skin is combination and quite sensitive. Even a short time outdoors leaves my skin looking red, so while organic sunscreen applies smoothly, my skin type really only tolerates mineral sunscreen. This one is fantastic - honestly the best mineral sunscreen I've tried. It spreads beautifully and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry at all. The price is a bit steep. The best sunscreen for smooth application. This mineral sunscreen applies beautifully and leaves a silky satin finish that looks amazing under makeup. I've tried many sunscreens over the years, and when I won this one in a beauty raffle, I was impressed by how smoothly it glided on. But I recently discovered another top-tier mineral sunscreen that's just as exceptional. After testing both, I noticed some differences. The first one has a creamy texture and applies smoothly with a natural white cast that gives a subtle brightening effect. Used alone, it has excellent spreadability compared to other mineral options. The second sunscreen from Layer Lab applies with a silky feel and adds just a hint of satin shimmer without leaving much white cast at all. It's rare to find a sunscreen on the market with such minimal white cast, superior application, and perfect compatibility with makeup bases like foundation and cushion products. I was genuinely amazed. Since this is a hydrating mineral sunscreen, it has a slight shine and can cause hair to stick to your neck a bit. That said, this really depends on your individual skincare routine and how well-prepped your skin is. It spreads evenly and absorbs quickly into the skin, so for outdoor activities like running, I just apply it twice for lightweight coverage. After sunscreen, makeup goes on smoothly, and I love how the subtle sunscreen glow enhances my makeup. I reach for this one constantly in my daily routine.

My skin completely reacted badly to this product. This is the worst reaction I've had in years. I've had to get injections, get a prescription from my doctor, and even had allergy testing done. I'm really upset about it. The sunscreen already has active ingredients, and with additional functional ingredients added, it seems to have irritated my sensitive skin. The product itself seems like a good quality item, it's just not compatible with my skin. It doesn't really address deep dehydration, so you'll need to make sure your skincare foundation is solid before applying it.
