True to its name, this Water Drop Essence Sunscreen feels incredibly hydrating and lightweight while spreading smoothly without any white cast. Lately, people call lightweight, moisture-rich sunscreens "glass skin sunscreens," and this formula is exactly that kind of product. It doesn't interfere with the adhesion and longevity of concealer or foundation applied over it, and I didn't experience that frustrating feeling of my base breaking down throughout the day. I'm not usually a fan of heavily scented products, but this one is fragrance-free, which I absolutely loved! You know that subtle scent unscented cosmetics sometimes have? This has exactly that kind of gentle, barely-there fragrance. If you typically prefer lightweight, hydrating mineral sunscreens, I'd definitely recommend this one! Some people experience eye irritation from sunscreen, but I didn't feel any stinging when I applied this product. I didn't experience eye irritation, but that could be because my skin isn't particularly sensitive. Today I tried an organic sunscreen that you can use like a lightweight emulsion without any white cast. It has a texture similar to a hydrating cream, so it applies smoothly and effortlessly. It feels so hydrating and moisturizing that it seems perfect even for dry skin. Most people know that after applying sunscreen, you need multiple cleansing steps to remove all residue completely. But Readers Waterdrop Essence Sunscreen passed the easy-to-remove test, which means it cleanses easily with just one cleansing product like a cleansing foam, so you don't need multiple cleansing steps. That's such a huge advantage. Even after rubbing it several times, there's absolutely no pilling, so I recommend it as a sunscreen before makeup. With SPF 50+ PA++++ protection, it has a high UV defense level. It also offers slow-aging care that reduces photoaging from UV exposure while minimizing skin stress with anti-aging benefits. In the fourth photo, you can see the difference between where I applied it (top) and where I didn't (bottom), and honestly, there's barely any color difference. 👉 Oil Control Here's the thing—it hydrates beautifully without that greasy, shiny feeling. As someone with combination skin, I was really impressed with how balanced it felt! It was raining when the package arrived, so water got inside the envelope and left water droplets on the outer box. The product itself was totally fine, but I think adding an extra plastic wrap layer would be a nice touch for protection! Thankfully, there was zero damage to the actual product. The texture is so smooth and hydrating, and it applies beautifully without any irritation. I ordered it specifically for makeup application, but it didn't work well under my makeup. Even though my skin is dry, it felt a bit too oily to use before makeup, so I had to blot it with oil-absorbing sheets. Plus, it caused a stinging sensation on the areas where my skin barrier is compromised. After using it for about two more weeks, the stinging became more widespread across my entire face, not just the sensitive areas, so I stopped using it.
