The shampoo itself has decent ingredients and feels like a solid, reliable choice. Nothing to complain about. The color-depositing effect is basically nonexistent. I've tried other color-enhancing shampoos that had some controversy around their ingredients, but those actually worked. My mom originally bought this because she's a fan of the celebrity endorser, but I decided to try it myself and I'm actually really impressed! It's gentle on my scalp, lathers beautifully, and best of all, I'm not losing as much hair as I used to. I'm definitely keeping this in my routine. The price point is a bit steep for me, to be honest. A beige-toned shampoo with an opaque, creamy texture. I noticed that my hair ends experienced less damage with regular use, and my hair quality seemed to improve noticeably. The shampoo produces a gentle, luxurious lather, and I loved that my hair didn't feel stiff or rigid after rinsing or drying. The subtle fragrance was exactly what I wanted. While it was fine for my hair strands, it didn't work well for my scalp. I've experienced scalp irritation fairly often after using it. The lather isn't as rich and abundant as I'd hoped. Sometimes when I pump the product, the shampoo seems to separate from the oil layer, which is frustrating. I noticed sulfates are listed quite high up in the ingredient list, which means there's a significant amount. The lather is really nice and full, and honestly, the overall feel when washing my hair isn't bad at all. I've been using this for about 10 months now, and to be honest, it does absolutely nothing for gray hairs. My gray hairs suddenly started multiplying, which stressed me out, so I impulsively bought this. But realistically, if it actually worked on gray hairs, it would be a worldwide bestseller by now. As for hair loss, I'm not sure if that's even the issue, but I haven't noticed any real difference in how much hair falls out when I wash or dry it. This product really transforms gray hair! It doesn't turn it black, but shifts it to a lovely warm golden tone. My mom, who usually dyes her hair a light brown, says she might not even need to color it anymore! My mom saw this on a shopping show and insisted I buy it, but now I'm not sure what to do with it. Two ingredients I specifically avoid are listed as the second and third components. I'm really disappointed by the formula. I use this shampoo in the morning and switch to a gentle, pH-balanced formula in the evening.
