The texture is so rich and luxurious, absolutely decadent. Yes, the price tag is steep, but the product itself is fantastic. The moisture-locking power is truly exceptional. It's expensive, and that's really the only downside. You need to use it all over your body, which makes the cost feel like a drawback. Nothing particularly special to note, but I will say this works beautifully on dry skin when you apply it generously. I found it performed even better when I applied it to skin that was already hydrated.

For those pesky flakes that are lifting away, this works wonderfully without being harsh. Once you apply it, your skin feels smooth and settled rather than patchy or uneven. This balm has a firm texture that melts with your body heat, making it easy to apply, though it does get quite soft and almost liquidy during summer. I used it mainly on dry areas like elbows, cuticles, palms, and ankles, and it's incredibly rich and nourishing, so a little goes a long way. The compact size makes it super convenient to carry around. The price is quite steep. While the tin case is pretty, it's honestly just a basic mini plain tin with a paper sticker label rather than actual printed branding, which feels a bit disappointing. The application is so smooth and easy! The packaging is beautiful too! It feels moisturizing and spreads wonderfully on the lips. Having to apply it by hand every time is inconvenient. My fingers get messy and there are hygiene concerns. Plus, it's not as hydrating as I expected. I have really dry skin, and nothing seemed to help with my dryness until I tried this. It actually locks in moisture beautifully! I use it at night only since it can feel a bit heavy during makeup application. In winter, the shea butter formula gets quite solid, so I have to warm it up a bit before using it. I'm using the large size and I absolutely love it! I can apply it all over my body, and it's so versatile—I use it on my nails, face, heels, and everywhere else. It's really effective even for people with sensitive skin and eczema. I even use it on bug bites, and it works like magic! It's pricey. L'Occitane makes great products, but the price point is definitely on the higher side. I transfer some into a smaller container to carry with me, and when I apply it regularly throughout the day on my elbows and heels, my skin becomes incredibly soft and smooth.

This product caused me serious trouble. When I apply it to my lips, it melts into an oily texture that doesn't actually smooth out the rough patches. Instead, as it dries, it flakes outward and becomes even more irritating. The next day, my lips looked swollen and then completely dried out with flaking skin everywhere. When I tested it with water, it started turning white and puffy whenever it got wet. I also applied it to the skin around my lips, and it melted there too, leaving that area feeling hot and itchy for quite a while. Even when applying it, I felt a sudden stinging sensation inside my lips. Shea butter is the star ingredient, so it's absolutely amazing for hydration! You can use it on your lips, skin, and around your nails and heels. I love that you can even melt a little bit and mix it into your body lotion for extra versatility. They offer it in a smaller 10ml size too, which is perfect for carrying around. Plus, it doesn't have that heavy, greasy shea butter smell that you sometimes get with these products, which is such a relief! You do need to use your fingers or a cotton swab to apply it, but honestly, any leftover product works great around your nails, so it's not really a downside. That said, if you're someone who really hates getting dust or particles in your products, this might not be your thing since it's an open jar.
