Before showering, I apply it to my dry scalp by parting my hair section by section. Then at the end of my shower, I rinse it out thoroughly with lukewarm water. Not much to write home about. Sure, it gives your scalp a refreshing sensation, but that's really where it ends. It didn't do anything for dandruff or flaking whatsoever. Beyond the cooling effect, what else does it do? Since this is a scalp treatment, I'm honestly not sure about other benefits like improved hair texture or stronger roots. The cooling sensation is really the main thing I notice. It's a bit tricky to apply evenly. Because you're working with your scalp, if you want thorough coverage, it helps to section your hair like you would when coloring it. But if you don't do that, the product has a thick, sticky texture. When you rub it between your hands and work it into your hair, it tends to get caught on your strands on the way down, so only a small amount actually reaches your scalp.

Just one or two applications and I noticed my roots had more lift and my scalp felt so much calmer! The whole experience felt like a deep cleansing treatment for my scalp. My only disappointment is that this doesn't feel like a Lush product because of the paraben content - it's really not what I expected. When I apply it and rinse, there's also a lot of foam residue left behind.
