After application, there's no white cast, no heavy feeling sitting on top of your skin, and no greasy shine—it's exactly what I was looking for. The only downside is that it disappears so quickly into the skin that I end up using more than I expected, so I'll probably go through it fast. The name is Hinoki, so I was hoping for some special woody scent, but it turns out Hinoki is just Japanese cypress, and honestly it just smells like your typical sunscreen. I'm skeptical about whether it actually blocks UV rays effectively because it absorbs into the skin so quickly and lightly. There's no feeling of it creating a protective layer on your skin, but the ingredient list contains alcohol, ethanol, and three similar ingredients, so I wonder if that's affecting how it works. I love how smoothly this applies and finishes with a clean, non-sticky feel! The formula doesn't leave my skin looking oily, absorbs quickly, and there's no white cast at all. Plus, the scent is barely noticeable, which is perfect for me since I usually can't wear fragranced products. This is honestly a game-changer in that regard! The texture has a nice, creamy consistency without feeling overly greasy. The scent is pleasant too. The eye irritation is really intense. No white cast and it spreads so smoothly! My skin doesn't get that greasy shine either - I'm really loving this product.
