For light undertones, it reads quite warm, so it's not an obvious best choice and can feel a bit dated if you're not careful with styling. You'll want to think about how you coordinate it. Actually, if you apply it very sheer on bare skin, the color payoff is strong enough to look natural and blends beautifully! Also, since it can emphasize dry patches, make sure to prep your lips the night before with a lip balm.

The color payoff is absolutely stunning, and the flavor and scent are amazing. Even after eating, the color stays put beautifully. Honestly, I can't think of a single downside. If anything comes up, I'll definitely leave an update.

It's a muted rosy shade with just a hint of brick undertone—very sophisticated. I can wear it as a base lip or go full coverage with just this alone, and it looks great either way. That said, drugstore brands are putting out such amazing lipsticks these days, including shades like this, that I'm honestly questioning whether premium brands are worth the extra cost anymore. There's a synthetic chocolate-like scent that's pretty noticeable. If you're sensitive to fragrance, you might find it off-putting. I sometimes think it smells a bit cloying, but the scent fades once it's applied. This shade is almost identical to the Too Faced Cool shade from years ago—I loved that one too, so I guess that's why I reached for this one so much. Hands down, this is my favorite lip product I've bought all year. The color is absolutely gorgeous and it looks amazing on me. My only complaint? It's so small that I wish it would last forever. MAC really lives up to its reputation! The application is so smooth and the color is absolutely gorgeous. I tend to lean toward cool tones, though I'm still figuring out my undertone, and this lipstick looks beautiful on its own or layered with other lip products. Sure, it has a matte finish so it's not dewy, but that's exactly what I love about it—that perfect matte texture is just stunning. The Brick Through shade seems like it would flatter everyone. It's not too bold and not too limited to one tone, so it's a versatile color you can wear confidently every day! If you have dry or flaky lips like me, I'd recommend applying a hydrating lip product, lip gloss, lip balm, or lip oil first before putting on the MAC lipstick. Otherwise, it might emphasize any dry patches. If you have very warm undertones, this shade might not be the best choice for you. I also tried applying a hydrating lip gloss first and then this lipstick on top, and it looked beautiful that way too!

It delivers a gorgeous brick red with just the right amount of saturation. The color is stunning, the payoff is incredible, and that signature MAC lipstick chocolate scent? Chef's kiss... honestly, there's nothing to complain about. Downsides? I genuinely can't think of any. If you have deep undertones and muted skin, grab Brick Through right now! I honestly loved it even more than Melt Over Since this is from the Powder Kiss line, you'll need to exfoliate and prep your lips to make it look its best
