I've been going through multiple bottles of the UHD pressed powder, and when I heard about this tone-correcting powder, I was curious enough to give it a try. When I apply it with a puff using the same technique as a translucent powder on shade 21, it brightens my complexion just like a corrector powder would. The cheekbones, bridge of nose, and T-zone feel comfortable even with a puff application, but I recommend using a brush to apply it thinly on other areas. While you can mix all three powders together, the sky blue shade gives the most luminous finish, so I love using just that color on areas I want to brighten. The twist mechanism at the bottom releases powder gradually, which means less powder fallout compared to the hole-punch style dispensers, and I really appreciate that. I'm not a fan of makeup bases with shimmer, and when it comes to blushes, I avoid anything with shimmer except for Clinique Cheek Pop. Compared to Cheek Pop, this has a grainy shimmer texture that feels a bit heavy on the skin. Since the main purpose is brightening, the pore coverage isn't as strong as the Matte powder, so I don't reach for it as often as the UHD powder. I tested both shades 1 and 2, and shade 2 has a much deeper color overall, so I'd recommend shade 1 for most people.
