It's more hydrating than a semi-matte finish, and it doesn't look as shiny as a glowy formula. It blends beautifully into the skin and gives such a flattering, natural-looking complexion. This product isn't super gentle, to be honest. After I apply it and remove my makeup, my cheeks end up looking a bit red and irritated. When I gave it another chance a bit later, I was absolutely blown away. I've already repurchased it three times. The adhesion and coverage are incredible, and what really gets me is the staying power that ties it all together. It's genuinely unbeatable. Even with my naturally oily skin that gets shiny throughout the day, my base stays put and looks fresh. I apply this in the morning, come home late at night, and my makeup is still flawless. That feeling is amazing! It's not just that there are no downsides—honestly, I don't think there's a better cushion foundation out there. It's already perfect. The formula itself is solid with no real issues. The size is small and there's no refill option, which makes it pricey. But I'm going to keep using only this one. 1. The built-in cushion puff isn't the best, so I switched to a thinner one instead. The brand and product naming are really clever. 2. My skin tone is on the lighter side, so the shade worked fine for me. This cushion has excellent coverage and amazing staying power. I bought it for summer and it performed beautifully—it doesn't break down in sweat and holds up really well throughout the day. I usually wear shade 17 in cushions, and this shade is absolutely perfect for me. Since I have redness-prone skin, I was thrilled that it covered my redness so effectively. It sets quite quickly, which isn't ideal if you like to blend and adjust as you apply. Once it starts to dry down, it can feel a bit tight on the skin. Since my skin is sensitive to cushion formulas, I did get a couple of small bumps from using this product. I found it really helpful to prep my skin with a hydrating skincare routine first. I apply it with a spatula, then tap it in quickly and firmly for that smooth, poreless finish. The formula builds with coverage rather than going on sheer, so it's important not to apply too much at once. This cushion really delivers on all fronts - amazing coverage, perfect adherence, and such a smooth application! Even though my skin is on the dry side, it stays hydrated throughout the entire day, which I absolutely love. It covers my pores so beautifully that it honestly feels like an HD finish! The puff is a bit on the smaller side, and even though this is supposedly the lightest shade, it still reads as slightly too dark and a bit yellow-toned for my cool winter complexion. I'm around shade 19-20 with a light undertone. In the photo, the checked shade is based on cushion compacts going clockwise: Chanel Beige Cushion BD01, Dior Glow Foundation 0N, and Primera Peptide Serum Foundation shade 1. The formula feels more powdery and luminous compared to other foundations. I really love how it creates a semi-matte finish on the skin. This is a cushion I consistently reach for and genuinely enjoy using. On weekdays when I have plans right after work, both skin finish and lasting power matter to me, and this is my go-to cushion when I don't have time for an elaborate morning routine. It doesn't give a glossy finish, but the skin looks incredibly clean and refined. Especially around the pores and cheek area, everything looks so seamless. It feels like the powdery particles fill in the pores beautifully. Whether I dab it on or blend it out, it works great either way. The coverage is moderate, not too heavy and not too sheer. Since coverage isn't my main priority, I usually use it alone. I'm already on my refill because it's become such a staple for me. I think it's a good product for the warmer season coming up, but honestly, if you have very dry skin or on cooler days and especially in winter near a heater, the formula can feel quite drying. Also, it does depend on your base. This foundation lasts all day long. When you apply it properly, you won't experience any lifting, creasing, or oxidation. The color stays true without any darkening throughout the day. The price point is quite steep, and I wish there was a refill option available. This foundation does an amazing job of concealing pores and creates that coveted porcelain-like skin finish. Plus, the shade range runs quite light, so it's perfect for anyone with fair to very fair skin tones looking for shade 21 or lighter. The coverage is fantastic, but it does feel a bit dry. During winter months, I'd recommend really investing time in a solid skincare base beforehand. I have combination skin and rarely need touch-ups throughout the day, so the staying power is just okay for me. Since this formula covers so well even with a thin application, resist the urge to layer it on. Applying multiple coats will make your makeup look heavy and cakey. Keep it sheer and you'll achieve that gorgeous porcelain skin effect you're after.

The HD powder particles are so fine for a reason, I'm convinced. Now I understand why this product is so popular. After wearing a mask, I used to think foundations that don't transfer were just hype, but this one is the real deal. It doesn't budge, and I barely get any mask lines on my face. I was worried because I heard the coverage was weak, but as long as your skin isn't extremely problematic or inflamed, the coverage is actually really good. Most importantly, it's incredibly lightweight. It's a bit matte for fall and winter wear, but interestingly, since this product just launched in the fall, my skin feels a little dry right now. Of course, that could be because I have naturally dry skin, but applying a solid base layer takes care of it. This foundation has such impressive staying power that it actually fights through dryness. There's barely any breakdown throughout the day. It does feel a bit dry during fall and winter, so I'd say it's probably best for summer, though I wouldn't call it disappointing exactly. It sets surprisingly quickly. I'd completely recommend this to people with oily skin regardless of the season. For those with dry skin like me, if you prep your base with a little extra moisture and hydration, it looks great with a semi-matte finish. When I tap it all over to set it, it locks in place so fast that it's actually tricky to work with. You really need to apply it section by section across your face. Personally, the 1R02 foundation doesn't have that luminous quality I usually go for, so I went with 1N for the base, but honestly that shade runs a bit too light for me. It's not unwearable though, and I actually like using it just on the apples of my cheeks and to brighten up my overall face tone.
