The trick is to dab it gently on smaller areas rather than dragging it across wide sections. If you keep tapping it like you would with a dewy foundation to help it blend, it can shift around. Warm tone shade 23-4 - using 1N14. I've tried drugstore cushions before, but they tend to run light. During summer, this foundation can shift on me, and with oily skin plus heavy sweating, this cushion is absolutely essential! The shade looks so natural on me, and I'm impressed with how long it lasts and how well it covers. I'm planning to keep using it year-round except maybe in winter! This product has excellent coverage. When you apply it with a gentle buffing motion, your skin looks beautifully finished, just like you've applied a full foundation. I do occasionally experience breakouts, but honestly, that's pretty typical with most cushion products, so it's not a deal-breaker for me. Perfect for summer use. It sets with a lovely, powdery finish that feels so fresh. The staying power is surprisingly impressive. I'm not sure how it performs as a touch-up product, but it's fantastic for that initial lock-in application. You really need to apply it with a super light hand, otherwise it looks cakey. The cushion comes in a beige tone, so it's hard to tell how much product you're picking up without testing it on the compact lid first. I was already using foundation, but I love how convenient this cushion compact is to apply. The coverage doesn't look heavy or oxidized, which is fantastic. It applies so smoothly and keeps my skin feeling hydrated. If you don't get the amount right, the product can shift on your skin. The quantity runs out pretty quickly since each application needs a decent amount. When I use it together with Make Up For Ever UV Protector, my pores look even more refined and blurred. You can use it for up to 12 months after opening, but I go through it so fast when I carry it with me. Eventually I got a bit desperate and started refilling it with my regular foundation that I was pumping out, and I've been using that mix for a bit. If you don't prep your skin properly beforehand, it can look patchy and caked on, which is really frustrating.
